'Driven by a belief that overseas jobs are the most lucrative, coupled with the desire to escape poverty, many Vietnamese job-seekers take risks with labour brokers, who are in fact traffickers. Many of those who are trafficked are very young, sometimes children, and are extremely vulnerable to exploitation at the hands of their traffickers, they are regularly forced to work in cannabis production, nail bars and forced prostitution'.
Now instead of women and children first it is fit young men first to get into the dinghies and leave the women and kids behind. Are they lying about the dangers or cowards?
And the ones who are not genuine refugees and asylum seekers.France decides 75% of applicants are not. They then destroy their documents and come here with fanciful stories and we fall for it. From a psychological development perspective I fancy growing and having a better life in Guadeloupe where they film Death In Paradise. If I roll up there will they put me up in a hotel with meals whilst things are sorted out?
The Honda(the mini EV ones) have them as well.. Does tech break that much anymore? TVs, phones, fridges etc.. all last for years, just hampered by software updates. More chance of getting a wing mirror knocked off than the tech failing . I've got a 2013 Peugeot estate now that I use for towing a trailer for hay bales, mini digger and tools etc. The cameras and sat nav still work... 12 years old (passenger door handle has broken though!). Anyway, more to the point, its 2025.. no one uses wing mirrors anymore anyway, just pull out and hope for the best... Same as indicators... Redundant tech these days.
Young, single men leave others behind to face the dangers (supposed) dangers? No. Look at refugees fleeing in the First and Second World Wars, fleeing from the Soviets. It was families of all ages from babes in arms to doddery old uns scarcely able to walk. Is it because they know that after coming here illegally we will let them stay and then let their families follow at more cost to the British, taxpayer?
Rwanda's nice this time of year, sadly (door ajar for others) you've missed your chance. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Your history might be a bit out... the Soviets didn't exist until several years after the end of WW1...
Tanks are a good example of things which have electronic screens instead of mirrors. I think To be honest I only know some army vehicles do because I’m a lover not a fighter
