A pivotal game in many ways, win it, and it is a very big step to safety, lose it, and we are dragged further back into it, draw much the same as losing, if others around us win, then getting too close for comfort to the trapdoor.
I don't think a draw is the same as losing at all. A draw is a tolerable result as it cuts one game down from games remaining for Luton to get the points needed to overtake us. A draw isn't great but it's not the same as losing.
I'm not up on the Luton team at all but did i hear somewhere that they've just got a striker back from injury though
They have Tahith Chong (midfielder) back in the squad but he hasn’t played since January so will only be on the bench.
Regardless of the stats a draw would feel like a loss to both the fans and the players imo. I think it's a must win and it'll send the right message to our rivals.
We're getting to the point of the season where games are running out. I agree that we need to be targeting a win and a win would be significant, I just don't think a draw is as bad as a loss, which hands Luton three points over us.
I agree that a draw would be far from a disaster. If we think this is a must win game for City, it is an absolutely have to win game for Luton too. No way this is a home banker.
The kick off time for this one has ****ED my ability to get to the record fair in town. It couldn’t be a worse time. I’m furious. The EFL now dictates my Discogs. I’ll be there, but I won’t be happy about it.
Only just realised it’s an early kick off!!! It’s actually more convenient for me though, so sod the rest of you…
hard to decide who a draw is best result for, Luton arent chasing just us at the moment, they are chasing Cardiff Primarily so any point away from home would be welcome by them. as the home team we should be after the 3 points more, but equally it stops Luton breathing down our necks, but equally allows Cardiff, etc to gain ground. probably best if we just win then wont have to worry about it.
I'm going so a draw is about the best we can hope for. 2 wins seen all season so far is poor even by a City fan's standards.
