Oh ignore me then I'm obviously talking ****e. The funny thing is many people would have read the email and thought 'oh fair play, that's a nice gesture for the **** season' only for another email to come saying 'Yeah soz there's no discount but feel free to buy extra tickets at full price' It would actually be a decent idea too. No doubt there'll be lots of people considering not renewing and getting some fresh blood in might actually gain some match goers ahead of next season.
Worst part is the absolute malaise around the whole place as well. Stadium hasn’t been cleaned in donkeys years, holes in the roof, no players signed in Jan. Yet they’re still trying to fleece the fans. Disgrace tbh
A belated Happy 86th Birthday to the maestro, Saints legend and England World Cup winner Terence Lionel Paine
Good interview with Matt Le Tissier talking Saints, VAR and general football, don't worry, he's not wearing his tin foil hat!..
Whilst this is good in the sense that it is obviously good to make a profit and it makes this/next season a little easier - it only happened because we sold half our squad when we went down. It isn't exactly sustainable. Although one positive is the fact we paid of some of the covid loan and also refinanced it on better terms.
Leicester tickets on sale on Tuesday, shows how much interest has dropped that they're starting it on 4. Still over 100 West Ham tickets available too. Only one away game left for criteria to be released now and it's a big one, can see us taking the smaller allocation tbh. Particularly if it's a Monday night. Be a shame though as it's one loads of people will be interested in.
**** it, it's Everton's ground, let their fans enjoy the last ever game there. No real reason for us to take the max allocation.
If we have lots of people wanting to go then surely that's reason enough? The club's priority should be to our fans first and foremost. We'll see what happens TV wise anyway as Monday night would put a lot of people off I imagine.
