I'ts ovbious that Zambruno is a ship that 's sailed. If he's ban was overturnd w'ed of herd by now and we havent so ovbiously it hadn't been overturnd. Scrub up. Move on. He wasnt any good anyway. Remember that in his first few games know one would pass to him because Walterball thought he was ****.
I'd love us to get him, but my thinking is does the club see having a player who is banned for another year on the payroll worth the money? If he is banned until then, we might as well offer him a contract that starts the following season and tie him down. Unless we can't do that on the terms of his suspension.
Aren’t these appeal verdicts public knowledge? The hearing was a whole 7 days ago. Surely someone somewhere has heard something?
I understand if the ban was to remain the same, it just seemed that everyone expected it to be reduced on appeal. People were surprised at the length of the ban first time around.
Obvious! Hardly. I also think even if the ban weren't reduced I'd take a punt as he'd be back roughly the same time as Matazo wouldn't he?
Was it ever actually stated when his original 16-month ban began? It was announced on 5th November last year and he was immediately unavailable for that day's game, so I guess the start date would be then, meaning 16 months would take him to next March, but I don't recall either the start or end date ever being explicitly mentioned. Maybe that will be made clearer once the appeal result is confirmed. Whichever way it goes, if we end up not signing him at the end of it then it'll have been a right waste of time. We knew about the probable ban all along but the point of it, supposedly, was that it was low risk and we'd have a good player at the end of it who would otherwise have been beyond our means to attract.
I think you've got that wrong. He came on as sub in the match prior to that one, at home to Portsmouth.
I’ve been on the CAS website and tried searching Zambrano, but no results. Also checked the recent decisions tab and nothing of any use there.
Although you would imagine that it will be known and released through Oscars team or the club before it’s updated on the CAS website.
I’d also like to know what banned substance is contained in this anti allergy medicine and how performance enhancing is it. What were the levels detected.
I would have then thought previous cases with similar levels of this drug and ban lengths would have been why his legal team were confident of a reduction. It also seems he has cooperated the whole way through the proces as well which would help his case.
