U21s beaten at home by Swansea. I wonder if Abankwah could count this as his suspension for his double yellow on Saturday?
A shame, but no surprise - it looks like Abankwah sees his future in Italy. So just eight more matches in a Watford shirt. https://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soccer/soccer-news/udinese-ireland-prospects-advice-anyone-34880972
I guess he could get game time and experience...and as an emerging talent Italy will offer him so much....
Just posted something of the like in the nest. Hope you are doing better n all. Doubt mine was as serious, it's just painful!
Ridiculous article - Lee Hendrie doesn't appear to know what he's saying. "He believes Leicester could be a solid next step for him in his career, as the Foxes will provide the stability he needs to increase his goals and assists tally." The same Leicester staring relegation in the face - like Luton last season? “Obviously there’s been lots of links with Giorgi Chakvetadze and I’ve seen him a few times...I’ve seen him lots of times, and probably, the way Watford have been this season, there’s this uncertainty with lots of managers coming in and out the door." https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/e...-for-watford-exit-leicester-city-namedropped/
I am really getting out of touch because I must have missed some news relating to recent happenings at Watford F.C. Please will someone enlighten me about who else have been the managers this season (apart from Tom Cleverley)?
We've had four managers this season - and in the most unbelievable of coincidences, all four are called Tom Cleverley...
I noticed there was a bit about Emma Radacanu getting another coach and jokes about us we have been one team who haven’t sacked a manager this season ! It’s a bit tiresome now really .
I would fancy Leicester to bounce back up again, but I would hope we would sell him to a top flight team. I know Leicester could pay him more money than us, but even Giorgi might prefer to stay with a known entity at Watford than leave for another Championship club, especially if Tom is still the head coach.
U21s HT: QPR 0 #watfordfc 0 - Hornets have edged it on chances, but very few saves required at either end. At least it's a nice sunny day . .
Fans travelling to support Watford at Bristol City next month will feel the hit of less reciprocal ticketing agreements in their pockets. Some supporters were surprised to see they were being asked to pay £35 for an adult ticket in the away end at Ashton Gate, given Robins fans were charged only £25 when they visited Vicarage Road in November. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ind-clubs-less-keen-reciprocal-ticket-prices/ Just how much does an away trip cost when you add it all up? I know distance, is a factor. How do so many young men get time off work for mid-week away games? Is football cheap, expensive or about right in the Championship?
Kayembe played the last 30 minutes of DRC's 1-0 win over South Sudan this afternoon - Ngakia unused sub.
Do we just like to waste money ? https://x.com/thewatfordway/status/1903127556296953993 Like the guy but injury prone .
