I said from day one of the hostage exchanges that the manner in which Hamas conducted them, a huge crowd with guns, was an utter ****ing ****show. It was always going to lead to further conflict, always. Everyone could see it.
It wasn’t a good look, but those hostages were returned as per the agreements of the ceasefire. The noise around the theatrics was just that. ‘Ooh look soldiers in balaclavas are waving their guns around, let’s bomb Khan Yunis and dismember a load of 6 year old kids’ pricks
Well if you mean, literally, yeah. It is Hamas who have provoked them into the attacks, though. Why are you so emotionally invested in this?
If I was sat at home and saw the IRA parading around British people, some of which were teenage girls one missing fingers, like a trophy after we had completely decimated their entire country I would take it as a clear sign that the IRA does not see the conflict nor the ceasefire as something serious. I'd be absolutely ****ing livid to see that happening to be frank- and if Nigel Farage a man I dislike greatly was the only person in the HOC calling for further actions against the IRA there is a great chance that I would support him in those calls. Hamas should have seen it as a chance to calm the **** down, not make a spectacle out of it. In this instance Pinkie, Hamas absolutely committed to an escalation, I can't say anything other than that.
Israel said they were going to defend themselves. Slaughtering 60k civilians, raising Gaza to the ground and lapping up ideas of forcibly removing those that are left looks a lot like ethnic cleansing to me. Personally I think it’s completely ****ed up, and I think it’s a damning indictment on the west who claim to uphold decent morals and international rules, to enable it.
I agree it was a bad look. I also think politicians need to let the noise and semantics go over their head and deal with the actual business of brokering peace Which is exactly what happened with the IRA when people eventually sat down with Sinn Fein, when men in masks were still parading their weapons

I get the impression through the tone of what is said that those who are pro Isreal seem to lack empathy for the kids and women and carry a sense of they deserve to die because their ‘leaders’ Hamas are wrong Those on here speaking up for the kids and women from what I’ve seen so far have no problem vilifying Hamas but that doesn’t remove their sympathy for the death of innocents Some are far too Balls deep into the politics they just want a win for their side
Palestinian's won’t leave their homes that’s their home Many on here were chatting about fighting for your country if Russia ever invaded I remember them Conversations on here very well It’s ok and easy to tell others to leave their homes they dont fear death, many people in certain parts of the world can’t comprehend that but that’s the truth they will never leave their land, they will die and fight for their land since it is their god given right
Who can argue with Netanyahu's assertion that the best way to bring the remaining hostages back alive is to bomb the places that they might be held in to oblivion? Well apart from the relatives of those hostages... and also anyone not deluded enough to still consider the ongoing bombardment a 'defensive' action on Israel's part ...
He doesn’t and has never given a **** about those hostages. They are just pawns to him to try and leverage support for attacks in Gaza. It’s widely reported from testimony from IDF that Israel enacted the ‘Hannibal directive’ on Oct 7th where they killed their own soldiers and civilians rather than have them captured by the enemy. Netanyahu’s motive is to eradicate all Palestinians from their land and if a few dozen Israeli hostages die in the process, he would see that as a victory.
This is what I was trying to explain to brb. It is their home. They are tied to that land, ethnically, spiritually, culturally and politically. And given the context that their land is always being taken away from them, it makes it especially more poignant to return to it. Like you say, for some people this IS their very existence. Without a Palestine, they do not exist and people see that as not worth living for. So would rather die on their land than live as refugees, exiled from their home.
Palastine has been reducing in size year after year, decade after decade. On here I’ve heard many tell us about the amazing military power of the Isrealis, I’ve watched videos posted on here of Mossad, who are lauded as one of the best in their craft, putting explosives in pagers etc etc. if they really want to oust the rats living amongst the people, I bet they could use much better methods than blasting whole villages full of children and women. We hear of the IDF’s latest technological addition to their artillery with a massive dose of bullying and ‘look at us’. Yet for decades and decades they can’t get rid of the sticks and stone throwing Palastinians so their only cowardice way, in true cowardice fashion is to try their best to get rid of the mothers who give birth to the next generation and as much of the next generation as they can in their pursuit of land grabbing and genocide because they just can’t defeat them can they…so they hang onto this reasoning that Hamas hide amongst their civilians but those that know are fully aware that the Isrealis are what they have always been through 100’s of years…cowards…and the countries with ulterior motives just sit back and watch. They will never get rid of the everyday Palastinians, their faith is untouchable.
Some people scoff when you say it's ethnic cleansing. But everything that's happening on the ground tells you that's exactly what Israel are attempting do to. Like you say, you cannot kill a faith, a way of life and a right to exist. Israel are fools if they think destroying Hamas will end this. It will simply encourage another generation to take up the fight.
