If they get back. Not sure which way Gordon leans probably the same as this poster who’s trying to sound hard so they don’t cotton on.
It was a Mickey Mouse trophy when Boro won it.. and when we got to the final. Now it’s the most prestigious trophy in world football If anything it’s frightening what spending £450m+ gets you these days. Newcastle done very well to win the final against a good Liverpool team, they deserved the win at the end of the day - but they went through against not only Chelsea’s reserves but Forest and Brentford also put out their B team in this competition, shows you how much it means.
please log in to view this image After only two days the lead story, on the BBC football page, is the Women's Champions League. The only story of Newcastle United is asking what their supporters think of their owner's, human rights violations the repression of women the criminalisation of homosexuality the restriction of free speech the continued use of the death penalty the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi the imprisonment of activists for online dissent https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cpde5776pv9o
And yet they went 25,550 days between wins so id say we've got a fair while before we're at that stage
I’m just catching up on social media because I’ve been away but it’s ironic that those making all of the noise and the most cringeworthy videos are of blokes who are apparent life long fans yet none of them were at Wembley. Celebrating in their living rooms, crying in front of their missus in the local pub etc etc because apparently “only 1% could get tickets”… They’ve only got as many season card holders as us so the vast majority will’ve got tickets for Wembley but what the club done was make a new priority - season card holders WITH cup game points. That’s the only reason their fans have started going to cup games, and again it’s the first time they’ve ever piped up about cup attendances. Daft ****s had over 25k empty seats in the cup before the takeover but they won’t mention that
Dying inside? Bit OTT. I admit I followed the score on my phone and was disappointed you won. That's what local rivals are for. You won the third-level domestic competition and the second-level cup. But sure, we would love to be in that position. You're owned by medieval butchers who execute gays, lasses for having a shag if they're not married and anyone who criticises the government. If you think that's alright there's something seriously wrong with you. When your takeover happened there was some good discussion here with decent Mags - unlike you - who talked about their love for their Club but at the same time about being uncomfortable about being owned by Saudi Arabia.
Add in people who'd steal anything that isn't nailed down and to be fair ... ... that's at least 70% of Tyneside
You should never ignore those less fortunate than yourself. Taking notice of them makes you realise how lucky in life you are
I'm currently looking at trains and planes for our upcoming games, Oxford and Bristol ... ... despite how I'm dying inside that Newcastle won a cup. I'm a brave little soldier
The simonside prick i mentioned got blocked, 2,3,4,5am texts but apparently I'm the narcissist spoilt cùnt for blocking the tit. Unbelievable Jeff
Even Scholes must be jealous and dying inside about them winning. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...gant-Paul-Scholes-Eddie-Howe-Carabao-Cup.html This bit is the best part of the piece One frustrated fan vented: 'Scholes will get most of the criticism here which is fair but opposition fans sitting around were also laughing and showing a lack of respect'.
Top bloke... ...Still grinning, he then replied: 'You won the League Cup f***ing hell! Everyone tries to get knocked out of that all year!'
They’re quickly realising that these things are only historic to them and no one else really cares … … it’s like their ‘iconic no9 shirt’ and their endless ‘adopted Geordies’ not to mention their ‘historic gates’ that most football supporters have never heard of St James' Park historic gates return to the ground ‘The wrought iron gates which took pride of place at the Gallowgate End of the stadium but were removed in the 90s have now been returned to the ground.’
Does anyone think the skunks could now turn against the Saudis, now that they've achieved the Holy Grail?
