I'm a toon fan who had to go to teesside uni and I work weekends to pay for my forthcoming firstborn, so I've not seen a live game this season. Just wondering if the last few games we've been playing well and been unlucky or going off the boil a little. As the latter would be made even more scary by losing both centre backs.

Played well in the last 3 games, got a bit of luck against manure (but so did they with their goal) and unlucky against Chelski poor officials and injuries.

As the others have said really:

Citeh game was decent. We were beaten by the better team but threatened them and were undone by uncharacteristic bad defending (also Ba should've scored n Ben Arfa hit the post).

Manure we held our own in the first half, both created and spurned chances and it was a terrible goal to concede on our part. Penalty was never a penalty and when Gutierrez went off it was backs to the wall, throw yourself infront of the ball defending...Very proud of the point we EARNED in that one.

Chelsea was a bit of a what-if game. The 2 best players on the pitch were Mata and Sturridge. The problem is, if Luiz had been rightly red carded, one of them would've been subbed off, and Chelsea wouldn't have broken with as many numbers (and would've been more susceptible to Newcastle breaking against them) their 2nd and 3rd goals came when we didn't have a true CB on the pitch and even then, they were scored/set up by Chelsea subs - they might not've had the legs had they been playing with 10 men...As it was, we were beaten by 11 better men, HOWEVER we should've been!

Pretty much spot on other than the part about Sturridge or Mata being subbed off if Luiz had gone.

I think they'd have either taken Fat Frank off, or simply moved Romeu to RB with Ramires and Lampard in CM. Leaving Mata and Sturridge to torment us. That's what I'd have done if I was AVB.
