A nice little earner for Rory, $4.5 million. I bet he’s had worse days.
The 3 hole, aggregate score playoff was decided when Spaun missed the island green 17th and carded a triple bogey.
Also a good come back for Rory who was badmouthed during the practice round, by an American fan, as being a bottler.

He was lethal. What a serve. Demoralised Rune who never even got to a single break point. Jack now 7th in world.

Does a nice job modelling underwear as well :emoticon-0110-tongu

Lewis on pole for the sprint race! That's a turn up for the books!

He was a good two tenths quicker than Charles as well and was quicker than him in all 3 sessions there. Only one qualifying admittedly but that's impressive from Lewis.

I'm also most definitely looking forward to more Lewis and Max front rows this season!

Yep, brilliant from Lewis. Great to see. He’s always been superb around this track.

Hmmm…I think McLaren dropped the ball a bit tbh. They’re a lot quicker, but yes, would be great to see more like this.

Or at least on the 2nd row together then! At least Ferrari seem to have found quite a lot more performance in the car since last weekend. I agree McLaren, and Norris particularly, made errors but if Max and Lewis are going to qualify next to each other a lot (which seems likely) I think there could be some proper racing between them again. And that will be great to watch.

Totally agree. Super impressed Lewis managed to beat Charles this early, even if it is a favoured track for him. Bodes well.

Absolute boxing legend. Seemed to be all round nice guy too. RIP George. I think I’ll use your grill in your honour tonight.

A sprint race win and 5th in qualifying is a pretty good day for Lewis. Storming lap by Russell to get on the front row.

Definitely a legend, I remember the fight where he didn’t sit down in between rounds, when asked why? he said he probably wouldn’t be able to get up again.
But of course he famously beat undefeated Joe Frazier and lost to Ali in the Rumble in the Jungle.

The Rumble in the Jungle was the first time I knew about boxing. I am not sure if it was televised live, but I have memories of watching it on my Dad's lap aged 5 (me not my dad :) )
