It will happen again next season. The gap between the championship and prem is massive

Dno, United looking like they’ll give them a run for their money.

and I’m not sure if it is. Big parachute payments. Problem is saints cand up and tried to play like city with champ players.

ipswich still have half a league 1 team so no fault there.

Leicester sacked their manager and hired a nobody.

Leicester had a chance of staying but hired guy not ready for the prem

I'm sure it's happend before that all 3 sides go right back down twice in a row.

However the gap does seems.more massive.as almost all the sides who are in the prem have decent players. Ffs west ham.spent how much amd have 34 points. Spurs and man utd have 30 ****ing 4 points!!!!

The sides that are coming up have now had two minnows in two seasons. Luton and Ipswich. We have had the bounce back Leicester, Southampton. Burnley.

Forest just bought masses of players and it just about stuck as someone else (Leicester fell apart)

Surely someone like Leeds can repeat that trick if they want to.

The problem is which current side will be the ones to fall apart? End up with less than 30 points? Brentford? Fulham? Palace? Spurs? Man utd? West ham?

Really looks like an arsenal 1-0 win doesn't it.

That chelsea side is not even top half

When you throw it about blindly and are not being hard nosed about only improving the first 12 then you'll get s lot of bang average 25mil players who have no place in a top 4 game.

The second i saw the line ups I was convinced the chavs would not score a goal, add in the fact i don't rate any single defender at chelsea there was always going to be that one chance for a blunt arsenal team.

I don't think there's will be much more in it but arsenal will win this easy.

Well, Arsenal won 1-0 and like many others, I have to wonder at the complete shambles that is Chelsea. How not to run a football club indeed

Arsenal 12 points behind now, both teams have played 29 games.

Arsenal need four wins to catch us up and then have five games to better our results from our final nine games.

We need 16 points (or 15 and goal difference) from nine games to make it mathematical, minus whatever points Arsenal drop between now and the end of the season.

And after today we have absolutely nothing to do but focus on it.

Plus arsenal are not winning all their games. Just won't.

The second i saw they two teals I knew arsenal would grab a goal somewhere and then just hold it. Chelsea are just poor.

Time to put up the run in.

    Lfc................... Arsenal
    Everton h........ Fulham h
    Fulham a........ Everton a
    West ham h.... Brentford h
    Leicester a...... ispwich a
    Spurs h............ Palace h
    Chelsea a........ Bournemouth h
    Arsenal h......... Liverpool a
    Brighton a........ Newcastle h
    Palace h........... Southampton a

    12 point real lead.

27 to play for for both teams makes the magic number 15

15 can come in many forms.

    every Arsenal draw is massive.

Arsenal qf is the 8th and 16th april making Everton away and Brentford at home into two big games.

Lfc play Leicester away so thst is an absolute must win.

Lfc have 5 home games and thstd enough on its own despite containing arsenal fixture. Home to Everton, West ham, spurs and Palace. 4 sides thinking of the beach by then.

You can look at Fulham.as a tough away game but they will sit back and you can take a draw if you lock up the midfield.

Chelsea are woeful side. They've had their day in the surname it's months ago. Thry will also be playing the conference league semi finals around this fixture.

So let's just relax here and have 2 weeks "off" for certain players to rest themselves, others to do too much as usual and honestly they need to get angry.

Ignoring the game against each other (which should favour us being at home)
People will say Arsenal have the easier run in but:

    Fulham,Brentford & Palace are unpredictable
I can see Ipswich really needing something out that game for any chance of staying up.
    Bournemouth have European ambitions
Newcastle will either be on a high or slump in the aftermath

Southampton will be gone, so that 3pts. Everton will probably bend over for a good buggering, so another guaranteed 3pts.

    Looking at ours.
We've got West Ham & Spurs who have virtually nothing to play for
Leicester who look the worst team in the league at the moment
Fulham and Palace as mentioned could be great could be ****.
Chelsea and Brighton who may or may not need points for Europe
And Everton who will want to **** us over.

It's 6 of one half a dozen of the other for me.
I'd also add Arsenal themselves look rather dodgy themselves, Martinelli and Trossard are either great or useless. So they could easily draw against teams they really should be beating through lack of goals.

Arsenal hate high intensity in your face teams, so Fulham, Bournemouth and Newcastle will be really tricky for them. Ideally we win the derby and things settle down nicely again.

The gap absolutely is huge and much bigger than it's ever been imo. Our current squad would run absolute riot in the championship and yet is going to be the worst PL team ever.

Using your Ipswich example we had half a league one team when we came up in 2012 and finished 14th which says a lot

Only going to get worse too imo. When you look at the other 17 how many do you see being in a relegation battle next season? Probably Wolves if they lose Cunha, that's it.
