It could've been much worse tbh. This isn't the title, the CL or even the FA Cup. They had to win something eventually by the law of averages. I'd rather they'd lost but I'm not too bothered ... ... the more they make of it the more they'll realise it's just the League Cup.
They deserved it on the day. Got a few plastics at work but they'll just get a congratulations and handshake from me. Anything more will play into their hands.
We may well have our own trip to Wembley this season ... ... with a bunch of kids and cast-offs. Which would be nice
Aye. Pretty much my view on it. Unfortunately for those of us living in North Tyneside it's going to be non stop for the next week or so. Already seen a few plastics on my estate prancing about in their DHGate tops. Thankfully I've lost touch with every mag in my family/friends group over the years.
All the lads i grew up with bar 1 are Mags. I was best man for my best mate who is a Mag. They have followed all the time i have and I don't begrudge them it's the plastic Mags and the Media which are over the top
I genuinely don't know any mags who go to games. I'm magnanimous enough to admit Newcastle completely deserved it today - largely due to how **** Liverpool were - but the over the top fawning from the media and then the plastics jumping on the bandwagon is sickening.
All those lads have been going 50 odd years. Some even came to Sunderland games with me. Can't imagine it happens much now
Yeah I’m in cramlington and the plastics were out in force early doors, thankfully my neighbours either side either don’t like football or aren’t from up here, I’ll kill them with kindness if anyone tries to provoke me this week nothing hurts them more than being unbothered by them
Got some proper plastics living over the back from me. Even the mother who neither likes nor understands football has (apparently) been all over FB with Howay the lads ****e. Sickening
Well I don’t care how anyone dresses it up, it’s sickening to see them win a trophy. I hate that lot with a passion and the smugness will now be on another level. I know it was inevitable because of the money they have but I’m still gutted to see them win something. Some of my family and good friends are mags and I just can’t bring myself to congratulate them. I may feel differently tomorrow but I doubt it.
