France v Scotland another good game.Feel a bit sorry for RL fans as they will never experience the atmosphere and crowds these games have.
Do you also feel sorry for people that have a Fiat 500 instead of a Mercedes? Or somebody that earns £24,000 instead of £60,000 per year ? Or maybe you feel sorry for somebody that lives in a 3 Bed Semi instead of a six bed house with a swimming pool ?
What are the experience rankings/coefficients for different formats of "getting your leg-over" I wonder ?
Yeah, I don't really get the obsession with crowds. I go to watch City and meet up with friends and family. As long as they're there I don't care how many other random twats there are
I was on about internationals and RL fans not experiencing occasions like this weekend’s 6 nation games. Club games are different. Used to enjoy games in a deserted BP with 3,4 or 5,000 in with like minded souls more than the “match day experience” with 20,000 in a sterile MKM stadium.
Been to a few big crowd 6 nations games. I reckon there are more spectators amongst them who know bugger all about rugby than you'd get at any RL or footy game. People go because it's a big occasion, a day out. If you're sitting amongst a load of 'tourists' who are forever getting up for beer, taking selfies, shouting at their mates, it's a real atmosphere killer.
Good atmosphere in France last night. Let’s hope we are never sat amongst people at the MKM who get up for beers or sit stuffing their faces and looking at their phones. It would diminish the febrile atmosphere which makes it a seething cauldron where away trans fear to enter.
