No, I agree. There is a real danger we lose quite a few players though this summer in my opinion.

We all know we’re going to be in the play offs.. that’s not the issue here. The issue is when we play like absolute ****e people are trying to pull a positive out of their arse and dig out fans who say it as it is.

Would you agree that the fans that "say it as it is" tend to go over the top and use inflammatory language rather than get their point across in a sensible manner?

EDIT. they also go very quiet when things are going well?

There’s definitely a chance but we held onto them well last summer.

I think Jobe and Neil are the most at risk.

We were absolutely ****e today and have been for weeks. Regis has made mistakes throughout the season and some of those, in my opinion, have contributed to our poor form as players have tired.

Doesn’t mean you can’t still see the positives about where we are and the job RLB has done.

Coventry themselves would swap positions with us in a heartbeat.

One thing I think we can all agree on is the hope that Coventry lose the other playoff semi final

A big problem was that Coventry just had much more running in them, than us. They seemed to have 2 v 1 all over the pitch. Couple that with decent quality and it led to a very tough day.

Lots for the coaches and the lads to work on and learn from.

The witch hunt on RLB has started with some I see.

RLB is by no means perfect but he has us comfortably in the play offs with 8 games left.
Today was ****, really **** but there’s no need to call for the managers head.

Some of these fans deserve the likes of Grayson.

Wouldn’t fancy playing Coventry in the playoffs, and that was before today’s pasting. Having said that, not sure we could play as bad as that again. We have Le Fee to integrate back into the midfield, and whilst Haji Wright is an excellent striker I’m not sure he gives Ballard the same run around he gave O’Nien and Mepham - not for 90 minutes anyway.

Van Ewijk was fantastic for them. He didn’t give Mundle or Watson a sniff and was too quick and strong for both of them. Likewise Da Silva and Roberts on the other side. Mayenda comes out with a bit of credit he kept going despite being roughed up by their cb pairing. He often had far too much to do by himself though.

Cirkin injury a worry, I know RLB rates Hjelde but I’d be looking to get Oli Bainbridge the odd cameo as well now.

They were mate. Could be that their more seasoned players can recover from the fatigue / able to cope with the number of games better.

Do you mean 5th choice manager ????, also in all honesty, how many think we will lose only 2 or 3 in this next window, cos IMHO i dont think we will go up by the play offs.

Not really. Or not on this forum at least. I think there’s very good arguments from both sides normally and people tend to back up what they’re saying with reasoning. I admit there’s fans that are bellends and downright negative all the time but there’s also our fair share of happy clappers.

The way I look at it, if we beat Cardiff at home how much praise do we give the lads? It’s expected, we are a good team. Do the likes of Liverpool and City go home raving because they’ve beaten Wolves at home? The better we become, the more the fans expect and of course most of us aren’t going to be running around in circles when we beat poor teams at home. It’s just a routine win. But when we fail to beat other teams that we know we are better than then fans will be vocal. I see that as the equivalent of giving praise when we beat the good teams which is fully deserved.

And another thing is when people go over the top in the match thread and post “great tackle Dan” or “good dribble paddy”. Are we going to get excited because a defensive midfielder makes a routine tackle? Some people call out every negative but there’s plenty who call out every completed pass as a positive too, it works both ways imo.

Been a brilliant first season RLB. New league, new country, totally different level of expectation. But this is his chance to change things now. If he continues to play the same Xl when players aren’t performing and we have decent lads waiting for a chance then that’s criminal. We need to build some confidence going into the play offs not limp over the line.

    Just out of interest ...

... who were the other 4, which players do do you think we'll lose and do you think we'll lose in the semi-final or at Wembley?
