If that goal keeps us up, I'll hand deliver the award.

No more or less than we expect. Apparently we could have got £5m for home a year or so ago.

£5 now? To be paid by us..

The honest fact is we beat a better team. We took all the points and that's all that matters on the day, but definitely not the longer term.

Some advocate "going down to rebuild" - in my view that's a very slippery slope. Staying in the Championship this season is all that currently matters. Unfortunately we've been saying the same thing for the past 3 years - something has got to radically change.

The bottom line is the result yesterday gives us a boost and a shot at another closed season to rebuild - that's rebuild from our current poor Championship level, and not to have to plummet to the minor divisions to do it with no guarantee attached.

    Totally agree.

We're we to get relegated I know a lot of people, myself included, who wouldn't be renewing our ST'S next season.

That could be disastrous for the club.

Another positive from the game yesterday was the reappearance of David Turnbull. He has the quality to take on that problematic No. 10 role. With Ramsey seemingly out for the rest of season and Colwill firing blanks, we should need to look no further.

It looks as Ralls has succumbed to recurrent injury, and as a result Mannsverk and Chambers should pair up in the middle of the park for the remaining games. They've done very well so far and I'd have played these two before Ralls anyway.

Where that leaves Robertson I don't know. For me he's been poor since the New Year and struggled for confidence - that's one thing you really need in the engine room and he hasn't got it.

In a perverse way getting relegated could create a rethink or reset at the club for the better. I refer as an example to Birmingham who will be back in the championship next season after a fun year strolling to promotion, and with a strong foundation and fully expect them to be challenging for promotion to the PL.

I said this “could create a rethink or reset” but that’s sadly highly unlikely. Relegation would be an unmitigated disaster as the club just doesn’t have the infrastructure and personnel to do a Birmingham.

The only way the club will have a brighter future is with new owners of the club. That just does not appear unfortunately to be on the cards.

Tan has been a generous owner financially. Better than many.
If only he wouldn't be so stubborn over footballing matters. That's what needs to change. Ironically, that could help the financial side as well.

Remote hits the nail on the head.

No one in their right mind would shell out the £150m + needed to buy out Tan.

The club has to be rebuilt from within, including Tan, rather than making the same errors, rinse and repeat.

Getting relegated would do the club no good at all. If Tan would swallow some pride and establish trust with a new DoF, possibly to the exclusion of Dalman and Choo, we may have the basis to create something, which may also make it more financially viable to on sell.

All I would say on that us beware of Americans with big smiles bearing lots of shiny, precious things.

Don't think he's American, but some bald, skinny bloke with a ring is looking to invest.
He might be from the middle east. Or was it middle earth?

Not sure it's generosity when vast amounts are pumped in continually in unsuccessful attempts to put right the series of inept decisions made by the board he put in place.

He needs to find generosity of spirit and accept he is clueless on football matters.
