we’ve had some shocking Sunderland squads but a few weeks of poor form during a season of outstanding performances isn’t going to have me act like these players have given up.

it’s a bad run of form. All teams go through it. We’ve been overachieving most of the season and so our bad form feels even more drastic

Yeah we were ****e today but no need for doom and gloom. Couple of weeks till the next game time for a bit of a reset get a couple of wins and then make sure we are good to go for the playoffs.

We've had our warning if we play these ****ers in the play offs so let's learn the lessons and get behind the lads.

If this happens again in May in the semis of the playoffs then fair enough get the daggers out but keep them away for now.

I think that is the first time I've been genuinely angry at this team. Usually I can point to a good bit here and there or a strong fight. There wasn't a single ounce of energy in the entire game. We aren't safely in the playoffs by any stretch. If you want to rest then play the bench.

We deserved to be beat and it probably should have been more. Absolutely shameful performance in front of 3000 away fans.

Yep, first time since last May we’ve lost this badly.

Too many are quick to react. Saying we’re not going up, sack RLB etc,

we need the break. We need to regroup and get back to how we started the season.

even if we do fail at the POs it’s been a great season.
Better than anyone thought after last season.

POs are a lottery just because they are playing well now (Coventry this is) doesn’t mean the same in the POs.

It is insufferable. It’s as bad as the doom-mongers who can never praise us. Lose 1-0 at home to Hull and people are trying to find positives. It’s OK to admit we’ve played ****e once in a while. We know this squad is better than our recent performances have suggested so we can expect better

I know you like to look at the positive side of every result, but on current form we'll be looking over our shoulder at 7th place going into the last game or 2 of the season.

It would complacent to not be worried about the way we're playing currently.

you’re right of course but I think the mental break of getting out of the day to day could be as beneficial as a physical break

Didn’t see game so difficult to comment

The lack of intensity worries me. This slow style has been in place for too long and it does for the first time worry me that RLB is finding it a bit tough at the moment and needs a rethink on tactics.

on current form we’ll get another 10 points which will probably be enough. And that’s only on current form. It’s statistically likely if you look at the course of the season that we’ll pick up some wins.

I’m not being complacent, just looking at the maths.

Think Coventry just wanted it more

and for some reason, those on the pitch just couldn’t get going.

I wonder if Le Bris just doesn't like a number 10 and doesn't think he can play outside of that. He's bombed Aouchiche out of 2 clubs now so there might be something in that for me. He likes his midfielders to be workhorses.

Oh well. Bad day at the office and a walloping that has been in the post.

2 weeks to regroup, hopefully get some players back and let others rest. Today has no bearing on our season (I remember getting thumped 3-0 away to Sheff Wed the season we beat them in the play offs) but we can't let this bump turn into a proper slump

Should have been playing 20 mins here and there earlier in season bare minimum when we had the games won

That's my thoughts it's a warning for May as it looks likely to be the fixture for the 1st leg of the playoffs

8 “cup” finals left till the end of the season.

    10 points ahead of Coventry
    12 from WBA/Bristol city
    15 ahead of Boro.

we go again after the international break.

let’s not completely lose our heads now.
