I think we need a reenactment, anyone up for it? Need three people, two of similar stature to the players and one to film it, so we can see what a ‘natural’ fall under those circumstances would look like.
I can’t really do it as I’m away on holiday and the wife’s too top heavy to play the Puerta role. I could ask her to film it but would have to get some random to be one of the players and I’m not sure they’d take it seriously enough.
Who cares about VAR? We should be able to appeal post-match when a player is incorrectly suspended. I'd love a good version of VAR in the championship. Semi-automated offsides for instance would be a great implementation.
Not particularly hostile just a bit incredulous that you and PLT have somehow maintained this conversation for three days despite PLT agreeing that it was a foul. Do you know what a dive is?
If he didn't commit the first yellow card offence but the ref still wrongly booked him for diving he'd be playing today FACT
True but he did indeed already have a yellow didnt he So therefore His dive as the ref saw it Got him sent off which means he is suspended today due to diving Fact
But he didn't dive, so even using your flawed logic he's actually suspended because of a referee error FACT
I mean he even gives away the game in his post "As the ref saw it". I have no idea why he and PLT are so far up this particular ref's arse that they can't just admit that it was a mistake to book him for exaggerated contact when it should have been waved play on.
****ing hell, no one is up the referees arse. People have different opinions and that's it. Why should they admit that their opinion is wrong and you are right? Puerta made a meal of his falling down hoping to convince the referee to give a penalty, the referee made his decision on what he saw, once, live during the game.
I think you've missed a large chunk of context in this conversation and have therefore misinterpreted my comment, and that's fine.
You can be an arse sometimes. Others will say all the time. Football is not like chess with each player taking it it turns to move a piece in a regulated way, the officials in lower league football use their own opinion and interpretation of the rules. Unless your in favour of how things work or don't in the Premier league using VAR.
