The England game went pretty much as expected, Wales put up more of a fist at Murrayfield than some of us expected and the French ended the Irish dream of the grand slam and now lead the table as a result. We now move onto the last round of matches which are all being played on Saturday the 15th of this month. Italy play host to the Irish, England visit Cardiff, and the Welsh playing to avoid the wooden spoon on their own patch could provide something of a challenge, and lastly the Scots visit Paris. Egg Chasers Predictions League 2025 Final League Table Well that's it folks. In the end the French topped the table ahead of England and Ireland and Welsh rugby has probably achieved its lowest ever standard as a result of 20 years of too little investment in grass roots rugby. Apart from the games directly between France, England and Ireland it was largely a case of tipping what margin teams would win by. It came down to exactly that at the end on the France v Scotland game which decided our league table right at the death. I would be gratefull for feedback on this because it is the first predictions league I have done for Rugby. Difficult to find a scoring system but most of the other leagues for this are along similar lines to what has been done here. Many thanks to all for taking part. My money is on England. We were both, all, expecting far too much of Wales to give England a game. They didn't!
It was the Italy v Ireland game which made a great difference Chris - you had the Irish down for a 22 point win, and I went for 12 which gained 10 points on you. that and the Scotland game did the most damage. We all of us thought the Welsh would put up more of a fight in Cardiff, and tended to underestimate Italy.
