As we approach the home straight, I think we are all due a predictions league update. Stretchy's Leeds tribute act means he's had a wobble in the second half of the season, allowing me to open up a Wolves-esque six point gap. It's not a fix, honest, I'm just not as optimistic! Evesham's currently on course for bronze, but Yorkie's doubled his points tally since the last check in, jumping from 7th to 4th in the table to become the most in-form predictor. Gaffer and Big Al keep plugging away, but Big Al's Manchester City journey from last season's winner to this season's underperformer looks set to continue! Spanish's self-imposed exile keeps him stranded in mid-table, but SD - last season's runner up - has been punished for his continued positivity predicting Town wins, meaning he's unable to close the gap on Spanish and remains stuck on the same 11 points we last saw him on. Mike's sensed opportunity to climb up the table, putting in a prediction for all the league games since we last had the update. Unfortunately, he's only been able to add four points. On the other hand, Top Bunk/Weighty has made two predictions since the last check in and managed to get 7 points (an exact score and correct result). Quality, not quantity, doesn't get you very high in this league table though! Royston - fresh from putting in his first 'proper' prediction this season - has a bit of time left to make a charge up the table and separate himself from the possible 'one and done' duo of Warky and Ristac. A reminder that it's two points for the correct result (win, lose, or draw prediction) and five points for the exact correct scoreline. No FA Cup or League Cup predictions have been included.
Well done Nuggets,I was obviously a one-Season wonder. It was easier last Season where my natural optimism was rewarded, just doesn't seem/feel right (although it obviously is!) to predict loss after loss!!
Great effort Nuggets, we all appreciate your hard work if not yr doom and gloom forecasts that cast a spell over the Club!
Although any ambitious club wants to be in the Premier League, I much prefer watching us in the Championship
Excellent work again, thanks, Nuggets. Well, my second half of the season charge up the table hasn't started yet, injury after injury have hampered the team continuously throughout the campaign. Still hoping for a late run to climb a few places, which would ultimately mean we may have done enough to avoid the drop. Still going to predict wins every game. Come on Ipswich!
Your optimistic predictions helped raise our spirits SD! I think we are all quietly resigned to championship football next season. We can be proud of what we have achieved and as Nuggets says, enjoy watching us playing....and winning again!
Typical, demanding Leeds fan! You're making me feel sorry for Daniel Farke (of all people) if this is what he's gotta put up with week-to-week
This season has certainly rewarded the more pessimistic among us in the predictions table! With nothing to split Gaffer and Big Al in the table so far, I've been nice and put Gaffer above. But if you're going to take after our Leeds guest and be rude, Gaffer, I'll put you back a spot
Update to the Prediction League, with seven games of the season left. Only movement is Mikey's five-point haul to to supplant Spanish in mid-table.
