Hmm I said one straight away And as I said on the match thread the two Oxford commentators ( I won’t listen to silly **** burns) both said deffo a penalty But you see that and there’s a little doubt As his dive is **** Who would be a ref eh
I go in there with my family and it’s a great pub with great fans in there too everyone makes the atmosphere and they pull a great pint and reasonably priced as well.
I'm pretty sure Puerta has been booked twice this season for waving an imaginary yellow card after being fouled, and now for diving too. He seems to have that South American gamesmanship thing about him except he's crap at it and only ever gets himself in trouble.
The one that was the result of the simultaneous push and trip? Any player feeling contact in the box will go down looking for the pen. It was just a **** decision to book him, pen or no pen, which it should have been.
Why was Puerta not given the goal? I sort of got why Gelhardt wasn't given his goal from the corner as I guess it's not a clear shot on target, but it looked to me like Puerta hit it on target and the GK just couldn't keep it out.
You can see the defenders right knee make contact with Puerta’s left knee at the same moment as he pushes him in the back, which is what makes it look like Puerta’s arched his back. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that it was a penalty at first sight in normal speed and no other angle or speed suggests anything else in my view.
It can be a penalty and still be a dive. He was fouled and then he dived dramatically. He bends over forward and then literally dives upwards off his ankles like a swimmer. Should've been a penalty but you can't jump in the air trying to win a penalty and then complain about being booked for diving.
