I said this this time last season, you can see what your seat price is going to be next season... £680 + £240 = £115 increase
I’m lost with it all mate. I'd prefer a 30,000 stadium and more expensive so people would have to fight for tickets, invest more and the ground would be packed. There were two blokes sitting on the other side of the aisle talking all match about their holidays, gardens and new stair carpet … … people’s attention span seems to have hit new depths. At one point I screamed Ha’way the Lads, in the second half, and people looked round at me. I’m going to end up losing it mate, wtf are they expecting at a football match ffs. And why can’t people eat before they leave the house. And why do the club provide Wi-Fi when half the crowd is pissing about with phones. I’d switch it off and block the mobile signal if I could. Saying people don’t sing because the away fans are too far away is bollocks, it didn’t stop Preston making a noise all game.
£45!!!! Can see now why some pricks would try and screw the club, it seems plenty have to trigger a reaction from the club
That's absolutely shocking mind, I sometimes have to miss evening games because I can't get anyone to watch the bairns. I've not been to the last 2 home games as I was away at the weekend and missed Tuesday due to the kids. I'm missing another soon as I'm away again. I love this club, it's in my blood but for some people the number of evening games and extra ridiculous kick off times are just unworkable due to other more important things like family or even work...which is massive up here due to the number of shift workers. I paid for my card right through COVID when I could have had a refund but still wanted to help revenue in my own little way. I also know some fans keep season cards going for loved ones they have lost etc. Really bad form for the club, it would be more understandable if we packed out the stadium week in, week out meaning some missing out but that's not the case.
Spoken to a friend of mine who works at the club. There have been a lot of calls and correspondence about this issue today. He says the club will be making a further announcement shortly to try and clarify some of the points raised.
It would be shocking if it was true, it isn’t. It's only in the case of people buying SCs and persistently not going to games … … it may never be used, it’s just a deterrent to people who buy the cheapest child SCs simply to enable the purchase of cup and play-off tickets. If we get to the PL we want the ground packed with people spending money on merchandise and catering … … not empty seats spread around the stadium making us look bad. It seems we’re gearing up for the PL in my opinion .
It's not made up, it's a common thing. I know of at least 3 people in their 20s and 30s who use children's STs.
The 70% has nothing to do with SC use. It's persistent non-attending that’s the issue here. Get in twice with a £45 SC and you’re ahead of the game … … use it to buy a Wembley ticket and you're flying. Bear in mind you could start buying SCs at birth and build up points over many years. People often complain they can’t get hold of away tickets and this is part of the problem in my opinion … … it’ll be ten times worse if we go up so the club have to act but it doesn’t mean people having their SCs snatched if they don’t get to every game.
That makes sense, think it probably needed explanation a bit better than it has been...which it seems will happen. I still can't believe people buy kids tickets to guarantee a final...that's proper, proper ****.
I'm sure it will. You can see, even on forums like this, how things can easily be taken the wrong way. It's just a little disappointing that people should so readily assume the club are out to get them after all the progress we've seen.
You're 100% right, old suspicions creep in after we had so many years of **** but we all know that's behind us. I'm also absolutely ill with suspected food poisoning today too so that isn't helping my mood
Yes that this should be stamped out immediately. Club should have measures in place to prevent this. This new 70% thing does nothing whatsoever to stop this, as it's simply how many times the ticket is used or forwarded, and not down to people illegally entering the SOL.
Wow, that's really bad mate ... good luck with that. I once poisoned myself with oysters, in France on Christmas Eve, and lost three whole days hallucinating ... ... I almost shiit myself inside out.
