So the last games have been 6 pointers but after the latest results what does it make this one. I've simply given up worrying now. However, this is that other Port lot so I will give up caring after it's played,

Remember the days when the sailors used to throw their hats in the air ?
When the Yanks were in town they used to chase our Matlows in town.
    Good days..

As usual, not great football but a really god goal made by an impudent flick from Hardie to put Bundu in for an easy finish.

Hardie runs through, wide right. Bunde’s in the middle. I’m thinking “square it, square it, oh you’ve scored”

    0-2.

And breathe........... Get in. If there is one game to win away in a season for us it's this one. May go down but it will be with a little smile now.

Certainly not elegant but we at least looked like a team and in large part, defended stoutly, unlike Saturday.

Hardie made one and scored one but signalled when he wanted to come off.

We conceded quite late but managed to frustrate Portsmouth to the end of what seemed an eternity of added time.

Sorinola rightly got a second yellow for pulling a Pompey player on the edge of the box but he’s very unfortunate to get a red for two pretty innocuous offences.

I didn’t expect this but it was a brave, determined and more than anything, united performance.

If only we’d played like this on Saturday. It proves we can do it. More of the same please.

    Pleggy has suspected broken rib(s).

Well done to the Portsmouth fans who booed him for what clearly wasn’t time wasting.

I’m really disappointed for him. He’s been playing well, is a very likeable character and had clearly been pleased as Pumch to have extended his cont

Thats a shame for Peggy, as you say he has been great and deserves all the credit. he was cast aside as was sorinola, silly first yellow card for the throw in time wasting,

we need to beat Derby or last night is pointless. lets go on a run and get out of the bottom wewere close a few weeks agoand closed the gap to a poiny .. Oxford are falling back in fast

How can you do any predicting with confidence in this league.

Portsmouth beat the league leaders and a few days later still playing at home they lose to the league's bottom club.

That could turnout to be a season defining win.....considering that our next game is against one of the league's sinking teams Derby.....we are playing at home and a win will lift us above them.

Luton are at home against Middlesboro....we just need Whittaker to start scoring and a good display from Finn Azaz would do us no harm...so we could be up to 22nd.... and if Cardiff lose at Blackburn we would only be below them because of our terrible goal difference.

PS....If Pleguezuelo has broken ribs than that could be a disaster for our defence....the injuries keep continuing....will they eventually help sink Argyle....just needs squad members to step up to the plate and be counted.

Centre backs were not short of. Szucs and Palsson are avavilable.

Pleggy has been doing well though and I’m sorry for him personally.
