I love RR's post with the Trump tweet that said he doesn't want the U.S.A. to become violent like Europe but has he ever read the regular news from down there which is full of mass shootings, lootings and tootings? The gun violence is ingrown below the 49th parallel and will increase under Chump's rule as he wants to put armed guards everywhere and give guns to teachers to protect their classrooms. Most Americans have little or no knowledge about anything non-U.S. therefore they see no point in learning how other countries live or what they are about deep inside their own borders. This sort of gives me some insight into what and how they think and as a general rule they think everyone should be like Americans but the rest of the sane world believes otherwise. Whatever happens from here Putin must never be allowed to fuel his hatred and takeovers towards all of the ex-USSR states that grabbed their independence when the Berlin wall came crashing down. Trump is more than prepared to leave Russia for the Europeans to handle on their own while he concentrates on Canada, Greenland, Panama Canal and the Gaza Strip will go Las Vegas style I guess. Trump is a clear danger as he is now but wait until he starts to rip apart the U.S. Constitution and takes away voting rights to the people he does not like which will essentially make him a dictator - so wake up Americans and see what you truly voted for as he destroys your country piece by piece over the next four years and ruins any decent foreign diplomacy built up over decades and lifetimes.
What I don’t understand is if Putin trusts Trump so much, why doesn’t he just withdraw fro Ukraine on Trumps word that the USA won’t invade Russia and use its Veto to ensure Ukraine will never be allowed to join NATO? , also why has no one ever thought to ask Trump this question?

The problem I see with asking Trump any questions Ashton is that you will get 3 different answers today and 10 different ones next week. To me if he does want to sick in his oar then all well and good but for goodness sake hand over control to those who actually care and have personal experience of what Russian control looks like up close and face to face, and that can only mean Europeans should be the main players with a side of American pie if needed. Letting Chump take control is a mistake that Americans are starting to see on the streets as so many people have lost their jobs under Musk's DOGE group, including the entire office of judicial oversight which ensured that all political mandates are done according to the constitution and the corruption smell coming from the Oval Office. Independent scrutiny is imperative if the U.S. and the world are not to fall afoul of Trump's determination to ensure he stays in power after this term expires- but don't bet your house on him actually leaving before the damage has well and truly upset the international apple cart.

Here the idiot goes again by changing his mind (for now) on tariffs on Canadian goods for another month but as we all know he could switch tracks again and again confusing the issue. I read something today about Musk losing a small fortune on paper in regard specifically to Tesla shares that have dropped by 87% after an initial bump when Trump announced that Elon was joining the gang in a senior position. The are several government entities that Musk has in his sights and the biggest so far has to be NASA but he is also interested in taking over some other national companies which to me only goes to show how the American, and possible overseas, oligarchs are lining up their noses at the trough. Over the last couple of days I have started to see some minor cracks in everything Trump as the general public start to fight back against the nasty stuff that is shoved down their throats and that includes massive lay-offs made by Musk and his DOGE thugs. Interesting times ahead for us Canadians and the rest of the world because the Chump is not a nice amicable kind of guy and he can spin on a sixpence and stab you in the back. He does not like people who talk sense back to him and he will try everyway possible to upset both the apple cart and public opinion as he really doesn't care too much about the masses and their needs therefore the West and Canada need to analyze his every move and it's intended outcome and never ever back down.
The true real side of this maniac is starting to become more of a threat with his continued attack on Canada which is totally unwarranted. Part of his rant includes fentanyl coming into the U.S. at an alarming rate, but the truth from U.S. Customs states that it is less than 1% and nowhere near the figures coming from the White House. Doubling the tariffs on steel and aluminium, that will only disappear only if we agree to become the 51st state, is the ultimate threat to our sovereignty and one that Trump would do at the drop of a hat. He is also crucifying his countrymen with these excessive taxes because they are passed on to them at every level and finally people are beginning to notice and show dissent but Trump doesn't care about them one iota. He has just stated he will go after government cuts through the idiot Musk and currently I am listening to a White House press conference and hearing how they will deport or charge those who criticize Trump or any member of the gestapo. All of the questions allowed are mainly by Trump friendly media and so no difficult ones are asked and if it gets heated then they are removed. It is starting to sound like Russian media and the lies being told may fool a lot of Americans but the rest of the world is now wise to evil within this man and confrontation can't be far away. To stir things up Trump has all of those who he set free from long jail sentences who are more than capable of waging a street war wherever they want and face no retribution. World order is in turmoil and will only get worse under Trump as he is already way down the road to dictatorship, and although about 80% of his executive orders are now under appeal they will certainly be overturned when they reach the Supreme Court which is biased to the Republicans because that is their stripe set up by Chump. The latest I heard is that Canada will live to regret Ontario's retaliation of taxing cross border shipments of electricity and apparently it is being decided what to do in response to our fight back against the monster down south.
Especially if you live in Canada or Greenland because this monster wants it all and more. Currently he is attacking us on a financial front by adding totally unwarranted tariffs based on lies and misinformation about the billions we are supposedly earning by ripping off the U.S.A. over many years. There have been many politicians who have threatened barbaric treatment of it's citizens but this man is not only a danger to himself but the entire globe and the scariest thing about him is that I don't think he has any idea of what his rants and raves are supposed to achieve because when you are a world class bully you don't really care. Trump's pandering to Putin is a huge problem because Vlad will eat him for breakfast by dictating terms of a ceasefire that won't suit Ukraine or Europe. By letting the Chump dictate terms on anything is a bad thing especially when it comes to world factors because his end game is to own Greenland and possibly Canada by some mythical process. It would appear that nobody in the Republican Party is prepared to try and rein him in as they are all fearful of the man and his background lunatics preaching from the same book. Wake up America as this is not the man for you despite your political stripe. He wants the U.S. to be like Russia where he can control the electorate and the elections due over the next four years of his tenure to try and ensure that he gets a third term in office - which is in contradiction to the constitution but he will do his absolute best to make sure that clause is changed for his advantage. The charges that he wants to lay against his ex-opponents in the Democratic Party are shocking and basically if you speak out against him you could be charged with some outrageous non-crimes formed in his warped world.
I know it's only me and a couple more who subscribe to their feedback on this thread but the recent events have come to clarify that the rule of law prescribed in the U.S. constitution is dead and buried. Trump is trying his very best to set up a pariah state that doesn't believe in personal freedoms and rights as he is now berating any court decisions that go against his thoughts and hinting at possible legal actions against any, particularly democratic, lawmakers who have crossed his personal line of acceptability. Top court judges have mainly labelled Trump's mandates on deportation and getting rid of social programmes to be illegal under the constitution as it has stood for well over 200 years, and if you go back to when a heavily Republican Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade to change the abortion laws back to the 15th century you can see clearly what the intentions are under this Presidency. Canada is being specifically targeted by the madman and perhaps you have noticed how all of the things that the Chump said he would fix on his first day in office have all fallen apart as the war in the Ukraine is nowhere near finished while Putin has another idiot to wrap around his little finger and lead up the garden path. There is no peace in Gaza with another 400 people killed just yesterday suggesting that Trump's involvement was never needed and in fact it has ruined any chance of success in the region. He is a warped man in the Hitler/Stalin class of maniacs whose lives impacted the world in a horrible negative way and their legacy still lives today by trying to remove all human rights unless they are dictated by people who will only accept full control over the population and that is what has been going on since Trump decided to run again for one of the most powerful positions in the world. Slow progress on promises at first followed by a mind blowing list of executive orders most of which fail the sniff test but he end game is that POTUS will change as many laws as is necessary, without legal approval, to make the U.S. his own kingdom. I am sure a lot of you think this is all my fantasy but living in Canada today is rather like being in England during WW2 expecting the enemy at the door to come knocking some time soon, and the consequences aren't worth thinking about for the long term. We are scared because this maniac is capable of anything including an attack on Canada which has already begun with the tariffs which are designed to cripple us financially and put thousands of hard working people out of work. Monster is my thoughts on the man and I wish he would just disappear into thin air. The only redemption from his antics and threats is for the Americans to admit they were duped by his lies and vague promises and find a way to oust him and save the world from his policies.
