We lose 3-4 but an entertaining game.....there is real promise in this team, you can see Beard is making improvements everywhere
Lfc women will play from.next season at St Helens rugby ground. So after a pitch upgrade they will have 50% of the season to themselves there as their own larger home.ground on Merseyside. The other 50% of the time.will be played on mud though. In the real world where you are not man city oil sheikh buying the sport you can't afford to build a 10k stadium for women so this is giving them a bigger ground than tranmere's Preston park.
Chelsea battering MU and will be champions, Liverpool beating Leicester and will finish a very respectable 4th (above MU )
A lot are freeish on sky and such Tjry are trying to build a new market by giving it before they put it behind pay wall 2 and kill the sport again
Matt Beard wins Manager of the Season. Big improvements this year, from potential relegation contenders last year to finishing 4th this.
Beard was got rid of a week or two back and Amber Whitely is in charge atm. Which made the Arsenal result a real fillip to the team. I think Beards playing style was cited as the main reason for the change,he got us back to back titles a decade ago but up against the big spending clubs its not easy.
Beard is not a top class manager. He was a safe pair of hands that was brought back after lfc decided thry should get serious about this women's thing they dropped years before. If you are going to be serious about it to win something when the sport washers have utterly destroyed it before it's even got really popular then you have to have the very best manager and stuff like that as you wont ever have the best players.
As far as I'm aware all the professional women's teams have been set up on the back of mens clubs. What happened to equality? They want to be treated equal but ponce off the men.
Fsg via lfc have bought melwood back and renovated at quite the expense for this team and have invested heavily in players. It only stands to reason they want a return and a better manager to deliver that return.
Just beaten MU 3-1 at Anfield in front of over 15,000 ...........(MU were 7 unbeaten before tonight) Olivia Smith with 2. Shout out for MU captain and Guernsey girl Maya le Tissier, scored their goal tonight.
CHRIS SUTTON HAS GONE FOR LIVERPOOL WIN 3:2 Carabao Cup final Wembley, 16:30 GMT We all know how much it would mean for Newcastle to end their long wait for a major trophy, but they have not beaten Liverpool since December 2015, a run of 17 games. When you consider the Magpies are without Lewis Hall and Anthony Gordon - their entire first-choice on the left flank - I really don't see that run ending at Wembley. I am expecting Tino Livramento to replace Hall and try to stop Mohamed Salah. Livramento is mobile and quick, but I don't think he will keep Salah quiet all game. It won't be easy for Liverpool, though. They are without Trent Alexander-Arnold and, with Conor Bradley likely to be sidelined too, they will need to find someone to fill in at right-back. The midfield battle will be key, because Newcastle are very good in that area, especially now Joelinton is back alongside Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali, but it is one of Liverpool's strengths too. Arne Slot's biggest issue is how the Reds will react to the disappointment of going out of the Champions League against Paris St-Germain, but I don't see them having a hangover from that shootout defeat. My gut feeling is that we will see a few goals, and Liverpool will win in 90 minutes. Sutton's prediction: 3-2 Felix's prediction: There is a lot of history between these sides in the Premier League, but not always with a trophy at stake. Newcastle are going to be very hard to beat because it feels like this is really important for them. I still think Liverpool will win, but it is going to be very tight and it could go to penalties. 2-2 after extra-time. Get instant access with NOW My instincts initially wanted to get against Liverpool with them dominating the outright betting at just 3/10 with Sky Bet to lift the trophy. But a quick scan of Eddie Howe's record with Newcastle against Liverpool and Manchester City completely put me off that idea. From 18 games against those two elite teams, Newcastle have won just once, losing 14 times and conceding 2.4 goals per game to a backdrop of 18.5 shots per game. I'm heading to the goals market instead then. Every time a final comes around at Wembley, I do think opposing goals at that stadium in that environment of high stakes is a sustainable long-term betting strategy. I'm convinced Wembley has the potential just to sap the momentum out of a game. All Liverpool's Premier League goals and highlights Transfer Centre LIVE! Deals, rumours, news on your phone In the last 41 domestic and European matches played at Wembley, the average goals per 90 stands at 1.94 goals in normal time over 41 games. And there's only been four games where the goal line has gone over 3.5 from those 41 matches. An incredibly profitable trend to follow. Another piece of evidence to throw into the low-scoring theory for this match is related to how Premier League clubs have fared in their next game after being knocked out of the Champions League in extra-time or penalties. Exactly what Liverpool are facing here. please log in to view this image And from the last nine occasions, eight of those nine matches went under 2.5 goals and the total match goals in those nine games averaged just 1.6 per 90. Yes, nine games is a very small sample size but I think it makes perfect sense that a team that have been both mentally and physically fatigued in a Champions League knockout game are going to feel the effects of that in their next game. Under 2.5 goals at 5/4 with Sky Bet it is then. SCORE PREDICTION: 0-0 (Liverpool to win on penalties) | JONES KNOWS' BEST BET: Under 2.5 goals (5/4 with Sky Bet)
