Norwich take on Sheffield Wednesday after a disappointing draw to Oxford. Despite our many chances, the Oxford defence was pretty resolute, and Sainz did not satisfy our collective will to score, being denied at the death. Who Scored has the following analysis of the game - Norwich has no significant weaknesses - an AI masterclass in understatement. ... Wednesday were away to Plymouth on Saturday having lost the last three on the bounce. A 3 nil win sees them a point behind us going into Tuesday's game. On a side note, Abergavenny Thursdays never played Wednesday, which is one of those might have beens that would have tickled my funny bone at least. OTBC - I won't be too active on this thread as I'm away for a few days.
From BBC: Norwich City have lost just one of their last seven league games against Sheffield Wednesday (W4 D2), though could lose both league games to the Owls in a season for the first time since 2008-09. Sheffield Wednesday are winless across their last six away league games against Norwich City (D2 L4), since a 1-0 victory at Carrow Road in April 2009. Norwich have only won two of their last 11 Championship games played on a Tuesday (D4 L5), home wins over Watford (4-2 in February 2024) and Plymouth (6-1 in November 2024). Sheffield Wednesday have lost only one of their last 11 midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) league games (W5 D5), and are unbeaten in their previous four on the road (W2 D2). Borja Sainz has been directly involved in three goals in his three Championship appearances against Sheffield Wednesday (2 goals, 1 assist), scoring and assisting in this exact fixture for Norwich last season. So in short, we don't usually lose to Wednesday, they don't beat us, but don't lose mid-week matches and we don't often win on Tuesdays. Well something has to give!

No mention of Marcondes? Given his brief run out on Friday night, can we presume he's available for more minutes tomorrow even if not yet fit to start?
The game is tonight isn’t it? Norwich admin has posted 2 things with Wednesday on them on Instagram. Edit: Just me being a bit dense, it’s because we are playing Sheffield…Wednesday
They didn’t ask JHT about him but presumably as he has been back with the squad last 2 games, he will be ok. Never know with our luck at the moment though
I'm afraid I see us continuing in "giving" mode in this one -- which should mean a City win Reyes Fisher, Duffy, Cordoba, Doyle Wright, McLean, Marcondes Crnac, Sargent, Sainz JHT hinted at an element of rotation bearing in mind we play again Friday night, but there aren't exactly a plethora of options. I guess we might see Stacey start at RB, and maybe Schwartau or Hernandez starting instead of Crnac.
To be fair to the boss he's not been able to play a settled first team all season with suspenjuries all over the positions
