Adkins, that is. Well not his fault. He turns 60 so this gives the OWS an excuse to put a good news story out to distract. An act of mindless desperation that totally fails as it reminds us of a time when: we had an owner who gave a ****; a manager who wasn’t deranged; players who recognised a football. On the subject of NA, he steered a team containing Lambert, Lallana, Schneiderlin and Fonte, with some decent supporting cast, to a double promotion. Anyone who thinks he was a miracle worker has missed the point. He was in a decent position and took full advantage, and well done him. But hey. Thanks for the memories, Nigel. Happy Birthday. But I need to some good news. Not distractions.
