17:2ö Cheltenham - Kalypso'chance Grade-1. Class-1, Champion Bumper on good-to-soft ground. Very smart gelding and probably the best of trainer's two runners in the race. Jack Kennedy rides for the Gordon Elliott stable. 11/2 (Ladbrokes/Coral/BetVictor) best price on the ATR site, at time of writing.
Day 2 and i think i am over the carnage of yesterday now and just thinking about todays action... 1:20 - Final Demand & The Yellow Clay 2:00 - Dancing City & Stellar Story 2:40 - Comfort Zone, Jimmy Du Seuil & Sandor Clegane 3:20 - Bussleton 4:00 - No bet, not even any AP bets either 4:40 - Jazzy Matty NAP, Unexpected Party & Dancing On My Own 5:20 - Aqua Force All of the above are in ap bets as it is but topped up on Busselton and Jazzy Matty as a double... Once more unto the breach my fellow punters...
Can't believe CH fell. Would have won easily surely. Luckily it isn't real money. Only GDC can save me now
Yesterday was rough, State Man would have seen me well but glad the 2 champs got up ok. 1:20 - The Yellow Clay 2:00 - Better Days Ahead 2:40 - Maxxum / Comfort Zone 3:20 - Chemical Energy 4:00 - Found a Fifty EW 4:40 - JPR One 5:20 - Sortudo / He Can't Dance
Great race. A very good little un can beat a very good big un over hurdles. Final Demand was Demanesque.
I wonder if anyone will ask Barry Connell why he took the Marine National ride off Mikey O’Sullivan? That whole part of the story is just brushed under the carpet. I doubt Mikey would have been on board today had he still been alive.
He was retained rider and he wanted more rides basically. O'Connell expected him to go and ride one horse with little chance, say in Leopardstown when Michael could have 4 or 5 available to him in Limerick on the same day with winning chances. That is the crux of it and it just came to an end after he made it clear he would appreciate being allowed to go for the larger book rather than the one.
It has been such a barmy festival so far that I am going for the English to win the Bumper with No Drama This End
