It’s very quiet in this thread.

Are we expecting Isak to start?

If fit, then I expect Howe will start him.

Risky but we need to win really and give us some confidence going into the game against Liverpool.

Going to my annual game as tickets are hard to come by but my mate is a West ham fan.
Hopefully we smash them even if I have to pretend to be gutted

Early team selection from Eddie with Sunday in mind:

    Vlachodimos
    Kraft Schar Burn Targett
    Miley Longstaff Willock Barnes
    Osula Wilson

Tbh I don't mind either way.
If he rests key players for Sunday, fair enough.
If he wants to get some positive momentum with our first choice team, fair enough.
I can see pros and cons in both so will just take it as it comes.

It's down to the players to make the most of any opportunities now.

Whichever 11 start tonight need to give it a real go and whichever 11 start on Sunday need to literally give it everything they have.

I'd play that team if we were 12 points ahead of 4th place but yeah I agree with you<cheers>

If players aren't fit then so be it. This match has no bearing on the final in any sense, IMO. However I would point out that we've looked crap for a while and Liverpool seemed undeterred from playing VVD, Salah, et al the week before the final, so it would be incredibly disappointing if that's the mentality.

I'd quite like to see more of Vlach and Osula. However, if Howe does indeed go 4-4-2 he needs his ****ing head inspected.

Am I right in thinking Joelinton is one booking away from a ban?
If so, I wouldn’t have played him.

If that’s true then I’m shocked. Mileys fine.

It doesn't impact the cup apparently.
Unlike Gordon's straight red for violent conduct. An accumulation of PL yellows only impacts PL games. Or so I read earlier anyway.

The ban wouldn’t apply to the final. As long as he doesn’t get sent off.

I think this is a good thing.

    Win and build some confidence.

Howe has done the right thing in my opinion.

I would have started Dubz. But GK is our least worrying position for me. If he picks up and injury then Dubz comes in.
