I think some people that have vehemently banged the drum for us to change our recruitment strategy and to fill our squad with more older, established Championship players will be reluctant to acknowledge Brown's limitations and/or limited impact thus far. Him being the poster boy of the 'change in direction' (which isn't actually a change in direction at all but we'll not get in to that).

Equally, I have to acknowledge that I, as someone who is completely on board with what we've done and what we're doing, will not be completely impartial when assessing Brown's performance. I'm probably much harsher on him than I would be if, say, Aleksic was turning in exactly the same performances. Maybe just a difference in expectations.

    RLB:
Patrick Roberts is available tomorrow and suggested he could start the game against Preston North End.
Le Bris says he is really pleased with Joe Anderson after his return to the bench and the rest of the group for bringing energy to the group.
Jobe has managed his suspension situation well so far, but they will make a decision on him starting tomorrow against Preston North End. If he is carded on Tuesday, he will miss two games. The cut-off is the 37th match.
Wilson Isidor has been “frustrated” with not starting, He adds that like with Mepham, he has tried to be clear with his players. Says that it is important for some players to refresh.
I just want to focus on us, if we can win 6,7 or 8 games before the end of the season we will have more chance to be promoted or be in the top two than if we win only 3 or 4 games or even 1 or 2.
The only focus we have is to win, to improve our team and to be in our best shape and in our best momentum to finish the final stage.

    Another cracker RTB, thanks again.
I expect changes but think it depends on Roberts how many, I wouldnt risk him personally. I think we will have too much for them and fancy a comfortable 2-0 win with Jobe back on the scoresheet.

In a way you are probably right there, we don’t use them, got about 4 on loan in the League of Ireland
As a club these days very reluctant to use them

I’d go 4-4-2 with Roberts available. Don’t think it’ll happen, though

We as a club have been brave not only in recruitment but also having a willingness to play young players so they can gain experience.
We have had some horrendous injury problems this season also and to be honest most of it has flown under the radar because the players that have come in have managed to do well.
Our squad does look a bit thin in some areas although we also have some players who would play anywhere the gaffer asks just to help the team which is great to see these days.

Would start Roberts if he's fit. Hope we look to play the same way we did in the first 20 minutes on Saturday with Roberts playing very narrow.

I thought that was what Le Bris' press conference was hinting at personally. Browne and Neil in midfield and Isidor back in 'alongside' Mayenda.

The quality of our young players ironically makes it more difficult to sign good cover.

"Would you like to come and sit on the bench behind a 17 year old?"

Only just confirmed my arrangements and can definitely make the game ...

... can't wait for this, as people have been saying, the confidence seems to be growing.

Preston had a tough game at Sheff Utd, and a massive FA Cup game coming up.

We'll hopefully hit them at the right time and give the fans the big performance we know we're capable of.

Nowt to do with the game tomorrow but regarding this tanker crash at sea and the worry of pollution.
The wind is blowing NNE so I would think Roker and Seaburn shouldn’t be affected.

    Back to the game comments…
