Good question tbh considering we had some poor options from the bench on Saturday Tomorrow I’d go Patterson Hume - Mepham - O’Nien - Cirkin Browne - Neil Mayenda - Rigg - Mundle Isidor
Cirkin, Rigg, Isidor, Moore, Aleksic, Watson, Seelt, Jones, Anderson. That Joe Anderson bench appearance is doing a lot of heavy lifting for you there
I meant more the midfield options really. Aleksic clearly isn’t fancied yet and Jones is nowhere near currently FWIW I think Jobe starts tomorrow.
Assuming Roberts won't play,I'd go with Mayenda, coming in from the right,Wilson and Mundle. Them three will scare Preston to death on the counter. I'll be vexed if he plays Riggy on the right in place of Roberts.
Preston have been very comfortable in both games against us this season (league and cup) Hopefully we play with more intensity
Just had a read of the op, well done again @RTB, top stuff. But...there is a but. Missing the word "Cats" in the 4th sentence, doesn't half make it sound, er, odd.
Expect a very low margin game. Preston have the joint most draws in the league and we rarely win or lose games by more than 1 goal. Would go with; Patterson Hume Mepham O'Nien Cirkin Rigg Neil Jobe Mayenda Isidor Mundle Not particularly happy with having to put Mayenda wide but needs must, wonder if RLB would consider Watson on the right. Also not particularly happy with Rigg needing to start but Browne has been so, so poor. I'd rather Jones start than Browne. 2-1. Mayenda and Jobe.
…I hope not, he was dreadful on the right down at their place and much better suited on the left. Rather he was brung back slowly too.
Great as always RTB looking forward to this one gona be another tough one Preston are no push overs so I’m going for another hard fought win 2-1 hoping Mayenda keeps scoring and maybe one from Mundle COME ON
Agree with that, there’s the card problem but also a rest wouldn’t do Jobe any harm Want a lot more from Browne but know he’s capable
I’m kinda hoping that we rotate Wilson and Mayenda in both positions tbh. Agree with Browne too. An absolutely gassed Rigg is still more impactful than AB - and that's a bit of an indictment. He needs to buck his ideas up immediately if he wants a career at SAFC.
Would help if he has an opportunity to play in the position he has made a name for himself mind. I think he is an accomplished CM player and when I seen him higher than Mayenda at points on Saturday.
I'd be more amenable to that if he'd impressed earlier in the season in a deeper role, but he was every bit as ineffectual then too. Hope he comes good, but I've not seen any signs he will.
To be fair I did say a bit of a slump as in recent results have not been great. The teenagers on the bench may well seem to show a lack of depth but in truth we have more than that in our starting line up. As for the refereeing it has been frustrating all season and TBH some of the horrendous displays and decisions are league wide not just yourselves, but it can feel personal especially when you get a negative result. Can not remember which game we had a few weeks ago (which we won) but the referee and assistant refs should be nowhere near the professional game they were that bad.
