Off Topic Methven “leaves” :)

Great news for the club.

Good to see the US investors finally wielding the big stick.

 

I heard a rumour over the weekend that he had gone.

 

My hunch is that Gavin Carter has spent the last couple of months looking under the rocks, and has reported back to the US investors that it’s a sh it show at the club.

We are (cough) on an upward curve, and yet Scott and now Methven have both suddenly left mid season …not even the muppets elsewhere can spin that one.

Methven was bad news from Day One IMO, it will be interesting to know how much it’s cost to get rid of him.

 

Wow I did not see that coming

 

Is that with immediate effect? The release is silent on that so I’d presume so

 

I don’t think Methven did either.

A couple of weeks ago he said he was here for the long term to deliver his five year plan.

You don’t lose your Technical Director and your CEO mid season if things are going well behind the scenes.

 

Can only assume that those above him had higher expectations

 

Misappropriating prawn sandwiches perhaps ?

 

I don’t get the impression he’s a crook as in he’d steal or commit fraud - more hellbent on reducing costs and a bit crap

 

No not all!!
In my opinion he got to cosy. What did he actually accomplish?

 

He led the club to our lowest league finish in 100 years.

 

Fantastic news. Shows there's more going on than any of us know, whatever some like to pretend.

 

That now means I think two things.

The club is being sold or restructured

They have found a new money man

 

You simply don’t make two such major changes at this stage of the season unless -

1. Things are truly rank behind the scenes,

2. Wider moves are afoot.

 

I think more exciting times are ahead.

 

I agree - with us positioned in the league where we are I feel that those above may have greater ideas than Methven was showing

 

What structure has he built exactly ?

They don’t own anything, and the pitch looks like a cabbage patch.

 

Ronnie/ Bexley Boy/ Colin Sams is certainly a one off.
