So who is being dropped to go your infamous two up top like teams in league one and two.
If you actually watch the game you will see it’s one focal forward player with either Twine or Memhetti in a ten to be upfront as well when in attack.
Because we didn’t get a suitable result it’s back to Manningball. I’m sure you’ve got manager bi polar

What some on here forget is that we are playing teams that also want to win. Hull have good form under their new manager and very good away record. I thought they defended fantastically and put 10 players in the box to crowd us out. Many times our last defender was halfway between their 18 yard line and half way line.
It had nothing to do with forwards yesterday it was we couldn’t actually get into their box. Any high balls they were gobbling up. We just couldn’t open them up. So the result has to be credit to them defending that if roles reversed we would have been buzzing about.

Without their CF 2nd half I would have liked to have seen Manning think outside of his box.
Eg - the old GJ way.....Dickie up top providing a presence/chaos and focal point in their box...ffs we were playing against 10 men without their CF.
But no just piss balling back and for the Hull penalty area. It's almost as though we don't want the playoffs.

I agree with this. Hull defended brilliantly, but I also agree with Redprintt in that we didn’t try to counter their presence by pushing Dickie forward alongside Armstrong.
I also think that Mehmeti could have run at the defence more instead of dancing around outside the box - he may have drawn more fouls and possibly another penalty.

Yes, excellent we can add you evidence to highlight the player is lunging in and is nowhere near playing the ball.

Looking at the two pictures, its clear the player hits multiple points that equal serious foul play (law 12). The sanction of a rec card was the appropriate punishment.
    SERIOUS FOUL PLAY

A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.

I think this photo clearly shows Tanner viciously smacking Pedro really hard with his backside, so much that poor Pedro is flown violently back with his legs and arms flailing.
Tanner should have been sent off for that unprovoked backwards assault…….

I think if we had McNally we would have seen that type of thing happened. Where as Dickie is good in the air his footwork is not the best.
But I would have liked to seen it happen as well though.

We always struggle when teams sit in, once down to ten and being one up you were always going to do just that. That said I thought you defended well.

We've appealed it, it won't be overturned, but hopefully it will at least see the ban reduced.

I think it’s more to do with intent. It was a strange one tbh, it was an awful challenge, but it did look like the player realised that himself and tried to “pull out” of the challenge.

two feet of the ground heading full tilt at the player -could have broken his legs- defiantly a red.

That's why we thought the ban might be reduced by a game, it was clear from the video that he took action to make sure he didn't actually catch the player, but the appeal was unsuccessful anyway. Personally, I think it send out the wrong message, but it is what it is. See you next season. <ok>
