This is it. We aren’t going to play every team we face off the park week in week out. Taking the points when we aren’t at our best is the main thing. Burnley arguably done that for months and thats the difference this year for me, it’s not that we aren’t good enough we’ve just not maybe put a few matches to bed when we’ve not been at our best.

Reading some of the ****e on here tonight I honestly don’t know how some people can call themselves a supporter, tried not to derail RTBs brilliant match thread but some of the bullshit I’ve seen on here tonight has boiled my piss. Masks slipped on a few tonight !!!

I'm not far off certain he is.

The way he is going and Rigg and Jobe are going he has a bigger impact on our season than the pair of them.

Which is ****ing mad given Jobe particularly has been a monster throughout much of the season.

Mayenda is just top class. A very good premier League player in the making to my mind.

The whinging started before the game kicked off mate.

We're odds on for the playoffs where we'd only have to win a couple of games to be promoted to the Premier League ...

... that was a dream at the start of the season but still not good enough for some.

Predictions of defeat to Sheff Utd, Burnley, Coventry, etc have already started.

We'll end up in the playoffs most likely but will come out all guns blazing and blow every fooker away.
I'm convinced we're going up this season.

I think so, he can do everything and it's just a matter of polishing his skills over the years. The quality of his passing is a good indicator of how much talent he has.

Still think he was the key component in those first 5/6 games where we played like world beaters every game.

Hilarious that striker was a weakness at the start of the season.

And people were saying we ****ed the window by not signing a striker. For me we have two of the best strikers in the league.

Couldn't agree more about the strikers. It doesn't matter which one of the two plays they both offer plenty! It was silly watching people flap about getting a striker in, chucking it away not signing Cannon for 10m etc...

Both seem to be really enjoying it here aswell!

I don’t agree he redeemed himself. And I never have an issue with his shot stopping. His commanding of the box is atrocious. He just isn’t a very good keeper at our level. Makes good saves (which most keepers do) but has cost us i the last 5 we’ve conceded. If that was Onien there really would be pitch forks.

Touted for a massive move not too long ago, now I think best he’s a lower mid table championship keeper

Agree with all that. Exceptional shot stopper but he hasn't improved at all in any other area and remains as quiet and timid as a church mouse.

Shame but I would be looking to move him on and upgrade the position.

Nothing crazy fancy but that goal is just straight up clinical.

Yes I remember that, it all became slightly hysterical and repeated over and over again.

It became such an obsession with some people that they totally refused to accept Isidor was a striker even after he arrived.

In fact, even after he declared,
"I'm a striker who can play also on the wings. My main quality is that I'm fast, I finish my action, I can shoot and dribble. I'm a player who likes to attack the space, when I have some space I will run into it because I know I have the quality.
I love to dribble, to shoot... from everywhere! Because I want to score, this comes before everything. I can score from everywhere and I can't wait to score my first goal."

Bodes really well for the rest of the season and for next year, whatever league we are in.

Think both have a lot of improvement in them but feel Mayenda is just going to keep getting better and better at a rapid rate the more minutes he gets.

To think he gets into double figures when he has been anything but first choice up front for much of the season, at 19 years old is remarkable.

It's great that they both really seem to want to be here and accept being rotated without any complaints.

And they're worth at least twice what we paid, possibly three times which helps enormously ...

... especially when you think some were desperate for the likes of Cannon who virtually said they didn't want to be here.

I doubt his value has increased by a penny.

I’m ecstatic we didn’t waste all that money on Cannon. We’ve got two strikers who I reckon are probably better than him. And there are two more prospects waiting for minutes. We didn’t really need a striker in January in truth. Not desperately anyway.

Remember we also have Danns on loan when/if he gets fit, could be handy for final few games and/or playoffs
Will be interesting to see if we pursue Danns in the close season for a season long loan or if we think we have enough strikers. I suppose that will be dependent on what league we are in.
