It would be lunacy to do so. It might make us all feel better, for a day or two, but making him look the fool is a terrible policy choice with ramifications we dont want to consider.

    Brilliant. A rallying call.

I am 65 in a couple of weeks and certainly not expecting a WW3 in my lifetime and if there is there is sweet FA I can do about it. Hence I enjoy my life to the max. Stopped watching the news a long long time ago ( might explain why I am **** at Blonds Guardian quiz <laugh>) but also might explain why I am a happy person.

Best thing you can do, it’s either stabbings, war, celebrities getting their arses licked or being told you are going to die of cancer.

These are exactly the tactics Hitler employed as he advanced through countries, promoting internal conflict ...

... the next step will be Trump stirring up Moldova, Romania, etc, against Ukraine.

I don't care what happens if we stand up to Trump, rather that than bend the knee before him.

I was born at the back end of WW2 so can't claim to have any knowledge of events unfolding, though I do know enough about history to realise that making concessions to bullies has only one result and it's not something I want see repeated in what remains of my time on here.
I feel sad for my grandchildren and their eventual offspring, wondering what the hell is in store for their future and selfishly thank god I'm on my way out of this world rather than just entering.

Me too mate, it's incredibly sad what we're doing, the main problem is that we all think we're really clever when we're nothing of the sort.

The human race is making absolutely no progress whatsoever despite believing we're solving problems and forever advancing.

On my way home from driving to Sheff Wed I stopped off at the little pit village where I was born. It's just a fading imprint on a hillside now, bulldozed when the pit closed, but means the world to me. Mam, Dad and four kids had absolutely f*ck all in a two bedroom hovel with no central heating, no bathroom and a midden toilet across the street shared by four houses.

But I'd rather grow up there than be a child these days, it must be grim and no wonder mental health is such an issue.

This bit in bold depresses me the most.
As a self confessed nerd/geek I used to watch Star Trek and look at it’s diversity thinking it won’t be long before we can all tolerate each other…

We’ve gone backwards I think as a human race.

I’ll end with the fact there is good in this world and that there are people to stand up for it, that French diplomat who delivered the statement describing exactly what was going on is a case in point.

The ordinary man in every country doesn’t seem to realise the power they have or they don’t want to. Simply seeing the public stopping buying Tesla cars has lost nearly half of musks money, just keep on this track with all the rich bastards you detest and they will disappear up Trumps arse.

I told my doctor that I believed that for many the human brain is not compatible with the modern world. Everything is just too fast and now, now now! An example for me would be that I started as a draughtsman doing drawings by hand 27 years ago. Took proper pride in the finished product, took my time, could take 2-3 days. I would post a copy to the client and it would take weeks for comments to come back for changes to the drawing, they would dwell on it. A few years later I started to do drawing on the computer. I produce a drawing in half a day. Gets E-mailed, comment comes straight back an hour later, change the drawing, send it back, 2 more comments an hour later, then more comments the next day. Before the end of the week I'm tearing my hair out. I think this example is almost a metaphor for mental health/modern life.

So the USA have pulled satellite images from Ukraine, as a consequence they were unable to identify the attacks were coming. A direct result has been the death of civilians overnight. Evil just evil.

Just because this is not enough Trump has now threatened military intervention in Iran, he was written to Iran saying negotiate with me as it is better than me attacking you!

Trump is a Mafia boss with access to nuclear weapons.
