You just know Onuachu will miskick an attempt several times before bundling it in. Allisson will be all at sea because he was expecting a proper shot from a proper striker.

Rangers very unfortunate. 2 goals disallowed for offside within minutes, both so tight. Could easily be 4-1 up away to Fenerbahce.

    3-1 Rangers. Brilliant counter.

Useless ****s. Can't rely on Leeds for anything.

We really need to build a team with some bollocks next season otherwise this Pompey team will destroy us.

Leeds choking promotion would be hilarious

Leeds went seven points clear of 3rd the other day.

When they next take to the field on Wednesday, they might be doing so down in 3rd.

Been obvious for at least a month. Home form far too good to get relegated.

The question is how much do they improve over the summer and could we be facing them in the play offs?

I had previously ruled out Farke being an option for us this summer because I've long expected Leeds to get promoted - and then duly give him at least a few games in the PL (before inevitably sacking him).

But if they somehow were to miss out again, he could easily be sacked at the end of the season. And his sudden availability would probably make him my no.1 target.

Why? If he chokes promotion with a strong Leeds team again, and you think he’d be sacked as he won’t be much good in the PL, then that seems enough to not want him to me?

Most newly promoted PL managers get sacked before the end of their first season. And of those who don't, a lot of them get relegated anyway. I wouldn't necessarily hold it against him that I would expect Leeds to be relegated next season (if they get promoted this season).

No thanks. Rohl is and will always be my number 1 target. Farke may get us up but won't keep us up.

It would but I would much rather them not be in our league even if we did beat them 3 times last time

Yeah fair enough. I’d fancy Farke to do a lot better than Rohl would next season if they were in charge, whether that ends in promotion or not I don’t know. Take your point about promoted managers, Leeds will be more like Ipswich this season than Saints, but would take a huge shift for them to survive, and that likely means curtains for Farke next year.

Nah much rather laugh at them now about choking promotion. We should be much stronger than them next year if they are going into the final year of their parachute payments. Would take breaking Derby record if meant they didn’t go up

Just watched the highlights of the game. How Leeds didn’t win that 4 or 5 to 1 I will never know.

It's one of two reasons why Piroe has never played play in the PL* - because for all the goals which he does score in the Championship, he misses way too many chances to duly be of interest to PL teams. With a better striker, Leeds take the three points today.

The reason why he's the only player with more Championship goals than Armstrong in the past five seasons is because Armstrong has spent 2.5 of those seasons failing to be a PL striker. Because otherwise Armstrong would be miles ahead of Piroe.

(*The other reason being that he's never been promoted.)

17 year old Louis Buffon, son of Azzurri legend Gianluigi, made his Serie B debut for Pisa at the weekend. Unlike his dad, he’s a left-sided attacker, and recently elected to play for his mother’s country Chechia at U18 level.

Lamine Yamal - what a player.
A great assist for Barca’s first and then an amazing goal.
