I shared a hug with my mate Trevor Dunn on the whistle. Trev sadly passed away about five years ago. I can remember him shedding a tear as he recalled all those City fans he knew who had gone and weren't there to see us get promoted to the top division. Then the drive home along the M1. Duffen holding the trophy out of the passenger window as his car came past. Great day. RIP Trev.
I watched it in Vancouver with text messages from my family who were at Wembley. On the final whistle I messaged Burnsey and we got an immediate response on Radio Humberside. Great day!
Did you ever find this? If not, I have a clip of it, not sure if there's a way for me to post it as the file is too big.
Hopefully that works https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xbb4...ey=ei1tbz77gkucfeicwdahq8qxz&st=7agrvcsl&dl=0
I couldn't get a ticket for love or money then a friend said my company has a box at Wembley would you like me to take you?
I got through on the phone, got told I needed to go online as they couldn’t get the tickets! I was like, “HOW?”
It was a **** game , absolutely awful but nobody cared, these days somebody would still be complaining about heat maps, not enough XG or too much XG or something
