Big relief and nice to come out of the MKM with a smile on my face, Going to Benidorm in morning with six other lads for five nights. Don’t think the weathers great but three points in the bag and no rain in the bars.

Odd that...I overheard a group of lads in S-E corner chatting about having to be up at 4 tomorrow morning to get the train to get to airport to go to Tenerife. Lucky buggers. Have a good'un.

I found it quite odd watching a night game at 8.45am here, but that oddness feeling soon went away with a home win.

A competent performance overall, no scary moments, not a classic, but who cares.

Puerta, Kamara and Gerhardt were the standouts for me, though everyone had a good game.

A bit of luck with the second goal as Pedro was offside, but we have had enough bad luck, so will take it.

Nice to see Palmer get some minutes, I've said it before, I would have loved to see Pedro in his pomp, such a clever player.

We are not out of the woods yet, but a big step in the right direction.

Spot on. I like Gerhardt a lot, I can see him developing into a fantastic player.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Expected more from them, and more physicality. Didn't happen.
Either recent efforts have taken their toll as you say, or else maybe, hopefully, like with Oxford, they've had their little 'uplift' and now it's back to being what they are. They do though have 3 very winnable games coming up, so I guess we'll soon see.

I think Plymouth has a typical City performance. Playing in an important must win game again a poor team with a chance to get their awful away form rectified and it all got the better of them.

That's not taking anything away from us, it was just a lot more comfortable than I expected, as the time went on I had no nerves about them coming back into the game

the short highlights package speaks volumes, there is not a single Plymouth highlight.

They didn’t have a shot on target did they? They played similarly to how we played against Cardiff.

Well, it turned into a good night in the end! Had my doubts at halftime but a rub of the green for the first goal changed everything, put a spring in our steps and seemed to knock the wind out of Plymouth's sails, bit of luck for the second and it was all over. The team worked hard and deserved it, same again at Brizzle please, we don't do all that well there so a point would be a result.

After all the big build up on here, their defence was predictably poor. The Ukraine guy got booked early, looked knackered after half an hour and was hooked early. Katic was more solid but coughed up the assist for Gelhardt’s goal. The best of the three was Pleguezuelo, but pull up trees he did not.

I thought we put on a very professional performance last night. Controlled the game in the early stages then attacked more once they were quelled and weary. That’s the way to see out the season - do the same against Oxford next week and we may well go above them in the table.

I don't want to tempt fate, but our form over the past three games is top six...

Kamara is an interesting one, there were still several occasions Plymouth came down the their left and he was just trotting back without a care in the world , (although he noticeably did track a lot more than usual ), just lucky they were ****e and couldn’t take advantage . I notice a lot of people had him in their top 3 which I initially found surprising , but thinking back the good stuff probably did outweigh the bad , I think the frustration I have with him is there is potential for a top player , but needs to work hard 100% of the time , not just when he feels like it .

    Never. In. Doubt!!

Not all pretty, but 3 points, win, breaking the home hoodoo & of gifting points to our lower placed rivals. Job done. Thought our tempo, effort, & attitude was there from the off, just lacking a bit of quality, against a poor Plymouth side of big units. Overall, a good, enjoyable game. Gelhardt worked his socks off all night, with a deserved good goal, Pedro also didn’t stop, impressed with great stamina throughout, selflessly laying the goal on for Kamara, just so glad he didn’t lash it up! Everyone put a good shift in, including the support. Special mention for Macca, not a foot wrong, proactively getting us up the pitch. Well respected applause on 30 mins for one of our own.

On pancake day, 3 points, home win, a flipping good game…..I’ll get m’coat. UTT.

The old bloke behind me, who bangs on about how **** Kamara is every game, wasn't there last night but his son was sat there instead. He spent the whole game telling his missus how **** Kamara was, as his dad had told him. <doh>

Given that we stay up and the minging whites get promoted is there a realistic chance of getting Gelhardt on a permanent next yer?

Won’t be cheap as they have him under contract till 2027. I would make him my number 1 target; such a talented hardworking player.

I wasn't aware, but Geldhardt's first professional goal was scored for Wigan in 2019, against us.
