Interesting, Thought I better go back a few pages and read. I don't normally do that, because my brain is too lazy, but I thought it would be interesting how someone looking from the outside in, thought about things and particularly that person being a female. She ought to sign up. If she needs me to approve an account for her without giving away genuine details, just let me know. Would prefer it in smaller chunks, more for ease of understanding what's being said, that's just me not a criticism.... at least she never got what I give @Citizen Kane. TLDR Can we get her views on Israel please? on the appropriate thread of course.
My faith is very personal to me you have had a free for all when it comes to making things up bro I’ve asked you for context when it comes to quoting the Quran To you it’s a book, to me it’s not if I ripped up a picture of your mum you would want to smash my face in to me I could say that’s just a photo of a female, means nothing to me however, I wouldn’t do that because I know it means something to you The Quran and my faith is very personal to me. The only way you might grasp that is if I get personal with you. That's where you go wrong, you and your generic thought process that it’s just a book you’ve been bashing away for months now see, it’s not nice is it so if you actually want to educate us about how Islam is wrong then go for it and you will get a conversation. This is why it’s wrong to burn someone else’s holy book, just because it’s not a person does not mean it’s not personal. Think about it bro by all means question Islam, we are encouraged to question it ourselves because by questioning you might learn and get answers but attacking like it’s you’re favourite hobby…yeh that’s a bit ignorant. and like the bloke who thinks it’s funny to burn the Quran, you’ve also felt a bit of a burn now havent you when it got personal for you. I think my point has been made, hopefully you digest the message in it. I apologise for mentioning your people and it’s not my style however it was a point I felt needed making to you through that manner because otherwise this place was/is becoming your playground for bashing my faith without any reasonable debate. When anyone tries a conversation with you, you just say words to the affect that you don’t care about that blah blah blah. Change your approach from the Tommy Robinson approach about my faith and we can debate properly, anything less and all I will see is you on an illogical rampage like all the extremists of all colours and creeds, it’s a human thing not a Islam thing as far as I know and can prove.
I flounced for 5 years. 5 years ago it was exactly the same argument Only took 3 years for ne to nake it to Cat D ffs.
Fine post my friend. The burning of the Quran in front of people for whom it has special significance and purpose in their lives is not just the 'burning of a book' - it is a deliberate provocation meant to cause outrage, distress and fear ... Had 'debate' both on here and on the GC politics thread on the subject and when I suggested that anybody actually feeling the strange need to burn a copy should do it in their own back garden, was met with the predictable 'our country, our laws - freedom of speech, freedom of expression bollocks' ... thin veils and all that. I hate, and have always hated, bigotry, intolerance and bullying of any kind... digging people out for it doesn’t always make me popular - but I'm not on here to be popular - just express my views ... and, where the footie is concerned, have a bit of a laugh both at, and sometimes with, other posters ...
Anyone else find these two statements slightly conflicting in the latest London murder case? A 16-year-old boy has died after being shot in an "enormously shocking incident" in south London, the Metropolitan Police has said. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene in Paradise Road near Stockwell Tube station, after police were called at about 14:30 GMT to reports of a shooting. Officers are working to identify the victim and contact his family. No arrests have been made.
Maybe, they know who he is from some form of ID on him, but haven't managed to contact the family yet, which means they can't release the name, but it's ok to identify genda and age - also maybe the ID does not have a photo, so until the family say, yes that's our boy.
I don't feel like you did Spurly. I enjoy reading people's point of view. I enjoyed yours and Sucky's bird take on things, it's the only way we learn, if people are open about their thoughts and feelings - I think until the opportunity arises sometimes we don't do it enough. It's how we stop the after events like Southport happening, people often have anger because they don't understand something, they can't make sense of whatever, then fill their heads with inaccurate thoughts to fill the gap. Always a pleasure to read your views.
