Bloody hell TftB. If you were a horse...... Hope you can resolve most of those health problems. And enjoy your retirement.
Alasdair Gold said Richarlison (((might))) be on the chopping block this summer, in one of those X Many Players Who Could Leave This Summer articles, and that alone will significantly improve our injury problems next season In case anyone was wondering, Richy, Gil and Bissouma are the only players named in the article whose contracts and/or loans don't expire at the end of the season, so you can figure out the other four from that...
From my point of view the criticism of Levy comes from an analysis of individual decisions rather than looking at the big picture. Look at the 5 clubs above and below us in the League in the season ENIC took over and tell me which has done better than we have....
By "them" , you mean Argentinian. Now, if Spurs could sign Milei (who has the face and hairdo of a 1970s English league defender who looks like they would cripple your granny in the tackle to prevent a goal being scored) ...
I'm largely pro-Levy and I go to virtually every home game. Ticket prices are excessive and it's one of the things that I think he's got wrong. I think this is probably the worst season under his tenure and he needs to learn from it. The alternatives seem to be absolutely horrific, unfortunately.
Exactly. I see only two options if he sells up and sods off, unfortunately. The first is a dodgy American businessman/group, like Utd or Chelsea. The second is some sportswashing dictator or their representative, like City, Newcastle or Chelsea. Option One is terrible across the board. Nobody would be happy. Option Two is the end, for me. I'd be out.
The owner everyone thinks Spurs should have, does not exist. In particular the "hands-off" owner. If I were the owner, the DoF might be churning thru the managers. Yet I might be churning thru the DoFs.
Less games next season though. I knew this season would be a problem because of the extra games and style of football. Angeball isn’t sustainable if you have European football too.
I want him sold in the summer. One of the few players we might turn a profit on. He hasn't improved much at all since his first few seasons. His injury and suspension records are dire and as you say, he seems to be magically available for his country. I can kind of sympathise with how Real fans felt about Bale, albeit they treated him despicably.
I think that they're basically Option One, but have done quite well and also been fairly lucky. Their administrative costs are higher than our overall revenue, too. I doubt they'd do a lot better or a lot different to Levy, if at all.
There were 10 other clubs near us in League position when Levy took over. None have done as well as us on any sensible measure. That makes Levy in the top 10% of Chairmen so it's 10-1 on that any replacement will be worse.
Of course I don't. None of us can see the future or alternate ones, in this case. Picking the one American sports group that's currently succeeding is also fairly disingenuous. Are we likely to get this one specific owner or one of the many others that everyone hates? I don't recall anyone wanting them at the helm when they were at Fulham.
That’s the beauty of it. You just don’t know how it would turn out. Personally I don’t think Levy doesn’t a bad job in the majority of things, just think he hires the wrong people too often. The main reason I think the club needs new ownership is the perception that people have of Levy, it’s become a big thing.
