Who are the names that pop up for you as being the players it's been a privilege for us to watch from the last 20 years only at QPR. So, since 2005. Also, say what you particularly liked about their game. I'll name some. Nico Krancjar: That guy had lost his pace completely by the time he came to us, if he ever had much. Slow as if running through mud. But by golly, could that guy turn on a sixpence with a sweet little touch. He would leave pacey players standing there. It was such a shame that he couldn't have been managed by a more artful manager. Lee Cook: Well, he wasn't quite as good when he came back to us after 2005 but what a player he was too watch. Lovely dribbling at times but it was his perfectly arched early crosses that did it for me. And our team during his first stint was always really up for getting in the box, which made it work. Adel Taarabt, of course: I don't think I need to say anything about that. You all get it. Heider Helguson: The Iceman. Utterly composed in every situation. Strong, a bully to other team's defenders despite not even being that tall. I had absolute trust in him as a player. Clint Hill: The legend and my favourite player in this period. Played with everything he had in every ****ing game. Never took his job anything less than completely seriously and with full effort. A hero at the club.
Ale Faurlin, Akos Buzsaky, Ebe Eze, Charlie Austin, Bobby Zamora... The first three all skilful in their own way, Charlie great striker and wind-up merchant and Zamora the first footballer to bring me to tears at a match...
Eze head and shoulders above the rest for me. Taraabt was excellent under Warnock, both Shaun Derry's and Jamie Mackies attitude opitimised everything I want in a footballer.
Ale Faurlin, one hell of a footballer. The Charlie Austin and oh Bobby Zamora double act. Clint Hill and Shaun Derry for their pure grit and give everything for the cause performances.
Eze, Taraabt, Faurlin are all obvious choices in terms of who I most enjoyed watching. Buzsaky is a good call, too. Austin was a top striker, but I wouldn't choose him above any of the aforementioned. Zamora - no thanks.
Clint Hill epitomised everything a fan would want and expect from players at their club....left everything on field, and sacrificed himself for the good of the club in the Play-Off final Never had the priviledge of seeing him play for the hoops in the flesh, but saw him play a couple of times for Rangers when they played my local club Morton where he still gave it his all - a lot of Rangers fans still talk highly of him
Taraabt (or Tarabat as Warnock frequently called him!). Most likely to produce magic out of nothing. Hill, definitely, but also a shout out for Ryan Nelson. Unassuming but dedicated. Derry. Blood and guts, like Hill. Buszaky. Could do with his corners and free kick skills in this team. Helgeson. Seemed to defy gravity and floar in the air waiting for the ball. Is Nardi allowed? Otherwise Paddy Kenny or Alex Smithies.
All of the above plus Kyle Walker albeit only a short time but he had a huge impact on getting us promoted.
Ale Faulin Ebere Eze Adel Tarbaat Clint Hill Hieder Helguson Jamie Mackie the first time he was with us....but he always gave everything In small spells...Willock, BOS, Chery Currently I am enjoying Smyth , Edwards, Saito and Jimmy Dunne
I enjoyed that cracker that the French lad scored for us before he ****** off to Chelsea Mackie for being heart and soul rangers Hill & Derry for their commitment Austin a true goal machine, paired well with Krancjar Ale for being a class midfielder I liked Cisse and his goal at city Taraabt head and shoulders above all others, I'm not sure we will see skills like that at LR for a long time I liked the crazy Bernie & Flavio years - signing Spaniards Italians and South Americans - Ledesma Alberti Parejo Granero Vargas Isla - happy days
Taraabt by far the most exciting player to watch. Derry, Mackie or Hill for passion and determination. Eze for skills in the final third. Faurlin for pure class.
