He is under no pressure whatsoever, he has taken us to the league cup final and we're due to play in 2 weeks. He literally has a chance to win our first domestic trophy in 70 years at the moment. He is not under pressure.
Btw I want to challenge another myth which is that improves players. Pope - worse Schar - worse Targett - worse Livramento - worse Willock - worse Barnes - worse than at Leicester Trippier - worse but OK he's old Wilson - worse but OK he's old Almiron - ended up worse. Max - was better under a Bruce so worse Sorry if I've missed any, but who are the players hes improving? Joelinton? Was already a good player he was just out of position.. We can give him that. Murphy? Looks a purple patch just now but we can give him that. Hall? He wasn't being picked, but we'll give him that.
That’s ok. I accept your opinion. I think the club would like more progress with the investment. But this summer is critical. Let’s see what happens. I hope we just progress and we don’t have to dwell on Steady Eddie.
I was thinking the exact same thing earlier and was going to post but didn’t due to the verbal retaliation I would get. So I am pleased you have raised a very valid point. Which I’m certain a lot of blind bats will oppose.
What about the forgotten players. Hayden. Shelvey. Wood who has improved since he left. Anderson who appears to be thriving since he left. There are massive question marks over players who are not his favourites who are usually yes men who don’t challenge him and are nice in character. Which doesn’t win you a fish at the fair.
Come on man. We are allowed to say things that you maybe don’t like. That’s part of life. I don’t think he’s moved on. That’s a fair comment. You’re allowed to say he’s been elite. Which I would question. And…… Trippier has regressed. And so has Burn.
I think the Bournemouth game said it all they had 11 first team players I believe with the rest of their bench being youth players and they still looked in better shape than us, we look absolutely exhausted every week
Livramento has obviously been brilliant and has comprehensively displaced Trippier in the line up. He's got himself playing for England. Saying Livramento has got worse under Howe makes no sense.
I'd hate to be a youth player that's brought to Newcastle. This manager has a deep rooted desire to avoid using youth.
When he first came he'd just come back from a potentially career ending injury and was getting back to form.
