It was his reaction more than anything that may cop him extra games. Especially as he has a track record.

But then he had to be restrained from the 4th official before finally departing down the tunnel. The actual red card is just a bog standard 3 ban. But he's already been charged with misconduct this season so he's got previous - I do expect a 4 or 5 game ban.

It couldn't have come at a worse time for Wolves, given their upcoming fixtures of Everton (h), Saints (a), West Ham (h), Ipswich (a).

I would still put them as overwhelming favourites to survive. But they would have been looking at these games as their chance to put it to bed.

Annoyingly it might delay our relegation by a week or two.

It could have been so much more serious, 3 match ban, or do you think they will make it longer?

    3. For as bad a challenge as it was, there wasn't any intent from the keeper. In the heat of the moment he badly misjudged it. It all happened very quickly - would be very harsh to add games.

Thought the Palace chairman was bang out of order when he suggested the keeper should look at himself. He really didn't set out to hurt Mateta - he did go for the ball but clearly you can't have your foot up that high.

I agree, in the moment he realised he couldn't handle it so tried to clear with his feet. Split second (wrong) decision, with no intent other than to get to the ball.

Mane got sent off for something very similar several years ago when he went in on Ederson with his foot high and he isn't a dirty player. These things happen.

Bit morbid but reminds me of that boxer that died a few years ago who got brain damage and started aiming punches at somebody not there.

Yep. I would hope that someone would’ve given her a check over for concussion or something after seeing that.

Huge opportunity for Bournemouth or Brighton to do something special this year. FA Cup is up for grabs.

I have that horrible sinking feeling that one of the Manchester clubs will reach the FA Final again. If Man United do get through tonight, please let's have a Manchester derby so one of them exits the Cup!!
