I saw this in the TV listings a few days ago and I immediately thought "propoganda". Because that's what it is. Dangerous sea crossing? Then stay in France. Simple. No money, food or shelter? Then how'd you manage to "migrate" all the way across Europe to the UK? I suppose the satnav on their phones helped.
I haven’t seen this show, but I was living in Australia in 2012 and I saw a show there called “Go back to where you came from”. Was actually quite interesting. They took a crowd of people who were of the “go back…” mindset and took them to refugee camps and also put them on one of the boats to do a crossing to Australia to see what they thought afterwards.
