Yeah sounds like you are much the same as me, always use to love my kebab when working on a Friday night, for some reason always the best treat....although I did have a smile when I read pot noodle...i think they are supposed to be really bad for you a highly processed food, problems with sodium all that stuff. Having said that, there are two in the cupboard keep staring at me. <laugh>

Pot noodles add to the water number though.

I never knew they were really bad for you but that’s what I’m saying, it’s the balance. Two a week won’t hurt. I’d go less but the bastards in my local shop put them on the front shelf and there’s loads of different flavours now to tempt me in lol

Doubt they even are that bad from a calorie perspective. Not much nutritional value but people will have an Innocent smoothie and convince themselves it’s good for them.

Edit- 436 so more than I’d assumed but still.

Pot noodles are great for a quick fix, that's my excuse anyway.

My kid bro would have been 60, this June 21st and I'm going to be doing something to mark the occasion, had something in mind but this popped up a few weeks ago, now thinking of doing it with my 2 walking pals, but and it's a big but, I'm not sure if it's a bit much to take on, the second stage is well in my range but the whole distance is gonna be tough, especially over the Welsh hills.
Hearts saying do it, heads saying don't be so ****ing stupid.

I'm ok for the 30 miles but think the 46 may be beyond me but it would be a great achievement especially on the occasion.
My brother in law did it 4 yrs ago and said he couldn't walk properly for 2 days after <laugh> and he was 50 then, Ill be 64 ffs, that's another problem, I'm in Cardiff the following 2 days for the Lana Del Rey gig.
I've got a couple of months to decide, did 27.5 miles yesterday so will up my next one to 30 miles and do a 35 miler a few weeks after, then will decide.

Think it’s very much like Hector said.

get fit enough and it’s just your mindset stopping you. Signed up for coast to coast in a day for 21 st June and not at all confident.

    46 is punishing mate

    Especially over that terrain.

Like Hector said though, we'll all be backing you whatever you decide to do.

I think they give you 18 hrs to complete it, and I suppose there are bail outs if it gets too much.
On the positive side, if the 3 of us get accepted, we'll be there to gee each other on.

I guess you could break it up into chunks over 18 hours.

15 miles over 5 hours, with an hour break in between each section.

    Or thereabouts.

There's a breakfast stop at Staylittle and a lunch stop furthur along, plus a snack stop, bro in law said one mistake he made was having too long a stop at lunch, he'd seized up a bit too much, so thinking 20 minute stops.
