If this scheme ran for 7-8 years I'd be confident we'd make it, because as it stands, Birmingham, London City, Bristol City, Charlton, Durham, Southampton, the Mags and ourselves are pretty close together in terms of quality. It's tough for the 3 North East teams, because we're generally competing for the same local talent. I would expect The Mags to invest in order to get them into the top flight. This move makes sense imo. The best players from the Championship and below would be recruited by the new WSL teams, which would make it more competitive, while the teams entering the Championship will also get stronger. Ultimately though, attendance figures would have to improve massively and better sponsorship deals sought.

proppa derby...and i prefer to watch the lasses than watch the scum, i guess they are sad enough to boo welbeck if he plays.
Very good win, Durham weren’t in the picture today. ps got pissed at the stables, had drinks in the stadium and now at 3 stories watching Newcastle lose
Double whammy tomorrow, stadium of light for the men’s match and then hot foot it back home to catch the lasses against the indomitable man united. The lasses are up against it but if we can keep the score low it’s a result in my book. (My heart is saying we could give them a scare though)

Aye, I've just put Villa on while it's HT in the Lasses match. Been attack v defence tbh. Will do well to keep it at 2-0
