Leeds, sitting comfortably at the summit with 75 points from 34 games, are on the cusp of Premier League promotion, while West Brom, currently 5th with 51 points, are battling tooth and nail to secure a playoff berth. Daniel Farke's Leeds United have been nothing short of sensational this season. Their dominance is not just reflected in their league position but also in the underlying metrics. Accumulating an impressive 2.2 points per game, they are on course for a potentially record-breaking 101 points. This team isn't just winning; they are statistically superior. Boasting the league's best expected goals (xG) rate of 1.81 per game and the stingiest expected goals against (xGA) rate at 0.84, Leeds are controlling games from both ends of the pitch. Their goal difference of +50 already hints at a team destined for great things, chasing Reading's Championship record of +67 from the 2005-06 season. For West Brom, the challenge is clear. They arrive at Elland Road knowing that points are vital in their playoff pursuit. The Championship playoff race is notoriously tight this season, with a mere six-point gap separating 5th place West Brom from 14th-placed QPR. Just one point separates them from Coventry City in 7th, highlighting the precarious nature of their current position. After seeing off both Sunderland and Sheffield Utd in recent games, many Whites fans may see this fixture as as a home banker, but Tony Mowbray will have other ideas. Off the field, the 61yo has only just returned to football following bowel cancer. As a fantastic gesture of goodwill, the Elland Road hierarchy had been in touch with the 61yo, offering him free tickets as their guest and an invitation to the boardroom! Leeds will be without the services of Ethan Ampadu (knee), Patrick Bamford (various) and Max Wober (knee). Concerning pictures showing Dan James with ice packs and strapping around his ankle (following the win at Bramall Lane on Monday evening) have been allayed. The Welsh International described it as 'purely precautionary' stating 'every pitch is like sand at the moment'. West Brom face a potential defensive reshuffle. Centre-back Semi Ajayi is a major doubt after suffering a hamstring injury against Oxford United, a setback in only his second game back from a lengthy spell out. If Ajayi is ruled out, Kyle Bartley, returning from suspension, is poised to step in against his former club. Tony Mowbray's side are already without highly influential duo Josh Maja (leg) and Jed Wallace (calf) as they aim to solidify their playoff position. Meanwhile, Alex Mowatt, another former White, is eager to face his old team in this significant Championship encounter.
Well despite having got 20 results completely wrong, and only one actual score line correct, we soldier on in the battle of trying to out predict AI. Only 12 games to go and then I can forget all about this prediction method and devise another one in preparation for next season Aski Leeds United 1 - 1 WBA ChatGPT Leeds United 2 - 0 WBA Ninja AI Leeds United 2 - 1 WBA
Another tough match this one, you know my thoughts on how these early fixtures can produce odd results. Still can’t quite believe we got the maximum points from the last three games, though unlike the previous matches I’d expect Mowbray to park the bus. If we can get the win we would extend the gap to 3rd to 10 points with Burnley playing in the cup to really ramp up the pressure on them. Fingers crossed for this one.
I've only seen Brom play once under Mowbray, away to Plymouth. They got the ball to the forwards a lot quicker than under Corberan. They also got more players in attacking positions, like us at times leaving the defence exposed, not so sure he'll be as gung ho against us but let's hope he is.
The Baggies are a Good solid top half Championship side who always finish at the top end but tend to fall short at the business end. They are a big physical side but not dirty. they are strong at set pieces at both ends so they deffo will be playing the good old game of looking for fouls just inside our half so they can hoy it in. Another tough game but all games are tough without the right mentality and will to win. Our home form is key now 6 left 18 points to play for. we've just got to keep on rolling and only start to worry if any wheels fall off and so far they are all firmly in place. As Lol said win this its up to 10 points for Burnley to claw back which has to shift their style if they not winning come 60-70 mins, but its all about us now destiny is in our own hands. Mon the Whites.

M621 closed until lunchtime around ER. Closed between ER and J27 because of major incident. Best set off a bit earlier if you're traveling. https://www.motorwaycameras.co.uk/england/m621/westbound/#J2
Having a pre match Guinness at Clayton Hotel. Quick piss and off to the ground. A lovely sunny day in Leeds.

Yeh, corboran would have parked the bus, Mowbray sets his sides up to play. Think it will be a good game, they’re a decent side with some good footballers, but the fact they’ll try and play should give us opportunities. Danger for us is ‘after the lord mayors show’. A lot of effort and emotional energy was spent on Monday.

Their main CB is out injured, Bartley back after a 3 match ban, they’ve not had a settled CB pairing for a while maybe that can be exploited
