Starmer has them rolling in the aisles ahead of his meeting with the Orange Nazi....

Watch Keir Starmer crack joke that has room in stitches ahead of Donald Trump talks

I'd like to think that he'd tell Trump to **** off and take all his UK bases with him, but he can't of course. I hope he at least stands his ground as Macron seems to have done. Every day that passes makes it clearer that the UK should align itself much less with the USA and more with Europe, both militarily and economically.

Having freed the January 6th 'hostages', Trump has now sprung the dirtbag Andrew Tate and his brother from their house arrest in Romania on suspicion of rape and people-trafficking.

As an adjudicated rapist himself, what an example this **** sets.

Sickening to see Starmer kissing Trump's arse whilst handing him the King's invitation for a state visit.

In terms of what he set out to do, Starmer's visit was probably a success, but you can't ride two horses and the American one is an unstable bucking bronco.

Whatever Trump told him today, he'll deny tomorrow.

Don’t worry, Starmer will sort it.

Just as soon as he gets his tongue out of Trump’s arse.

What do you make of Trump now? You were quite unconcerned about his re-election, I recall.

He’s doing exactly as expected. He has explicitly hated Zelensky since he refused to have a Ukrainian investigation of Biden’s son’s activities there. The one who was pardoned by his dad.

It confuses me why people are surprised by Trump. I wasn’t unconcerned, more resigned.

I'm not surprised by Trump in the least. I predicted how bad things would get and I was told I was exaggerating. Project 25 wasn't a conspiracy theory, it's being acted out in front of our eyes.

Does anyone else feel the same antipathy towards the USA as a Nation that I feel since Trump got re-elected? Of course there are many millions of good, caring people in the US, but sadly there are millions more that are in favour of the horrendous autocratic oligarchy that Trump is creating. By the time a significant enough number of Americans realise that they've made an enormous mistake, they'll no longer have the opportunity to change their minds at the ballot box. Comparisons to 1930s Germany are valid and real. I consider Trump's USA to be every bit the enemy of Britain that Putin's Russia is and Hitler's Germany was. The King's invitation to Trump is an act of appeasement.

What happened today is scandalous. I can’t believe what they did to Zelenskyy. They literally attempted to bully him in front of the world’s media. How he remained calm is amazing.
I’d laugh except the seriousness of this is no joke.
What he is doing to Ukraine, has proposed doing to Gaza and his intentions to start a trade war with half the world is genuinely worrying. This world is slowly spinning out of control.

Proud to be a European today.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who met Trump earlier this week, says: "There is an aggressor: Russia. There is a victim: Ukraine. We were right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago—and to keep doing so"

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also writes in a post on X that "nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians do", before adding that "Ukraine can rely on Germany – and on Europe"

President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has said: "You are never alone, dear president. We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace"
