I reckon Aleksic and Abdullahi will play next season. Both will benefit from being in the environment for 12 months without the pressure to play.

thanks for sorting tickets by the way, was a right **** on getting them but we got there in the end <laugh>

I thought Aleksic would be on instead of Jones last night but you can't knock Harrison for the job he did. So I'll have to give Reggie that one! :emoticon-0105-wink: :emoticon-0102-bigsm

A good night overall. Firstly good to see @Smug in Boots looking so well hope you got that ticket to the recipient I couldn't find him. Eventually got the tickets to Ross hope all was OK. Cracking game well earned 3 points neil dominant mayenda is going to be some player jobe came into the game more as it went on. Trai Hume terrific game. Supporters magnificent the singing of Haway the lads constantly seemed to spur the players on to get the winner. Brilliant night. Shout out to Regis thought he got things and his subs just about spot on last night.

Mate, there are people who write the laws! This shirt sleeve ****e etc!

Monday, I know the rule is goal scored by player handling etc.but accidentally hand.ing (which is what this was, unlike the Pen Coyle one last week) should not be given as handball

That's not right, if handball (even accidental) leads directly to a goal then it should be disallowed. The rule is different for defenders, which is why the Coyle one wasn't given as a pen.

TBF, the handball rule seems to change every year, so I don't blame anyone for not knowing the specifics at any given time!

It was like #Bannonwatch again and Hinchcliffe at the best of times is a boring tart also being an ex-Wednesday player.

Just watched extended highlights. Glad I missed the match as we only had the ball twice all game. And it was obviously the most one sided game against us!

Which bit? I know about the accidental mate. It’s just my opinion that it should be exactly the same rules for defenders and attackers. Either both are or neither are (like shirt pulling, “not enough fir a penalty “ but always enough to disallow a goal)

as fir the law, I mean the shirt sleeve rule they brought in!

Tye coyle one he knew it was handball! Arm well away from his body epwhen he controlled it, unlike yesterday.

Irrekevant now! We’ve had plenty of them go against us!

    Oh what a night :emoticon-0159-music
Late February back in twenty five
What a very special time for Eli
    As I remember, what a night :emoticon-0159-music

Sorry, think I might still be a bit pissed <cheers>

Class. Loved it. Belting atmosphere. Bevvies and brilliant craic. The little minutes applause had me choked.

Wednesday are a good side, bar their centre backs. You can see how well the coach is doing and in possession they are smart. But down the middle they are so vulnerable.

Thought we were canny barring first 15 of second half. Folk might remember how highly I rated Neil when he camd in during League 1. I have loved every minute of his journey. Seeing him in the flesh again last night was a real treat. For a long time I have said he is our most important player, not necessarily our best. Now he is both. What a footballer he is.

Mayenda was class, absolute class. His workrate and agrssion is something else. He never ever stops. He is going to be a top class 9. When he plays there he comes alive. His movement for the second - just quality. Tell you what though, the Hume ball in was very very special. Eli just has to direct it. On Hume I thought he was excellent again. He is having a bloody fantastic season imo.

Patto was sound, one stunning save. Hjelde was really solid, very decent. Seems a real one of the lads, might yet have a part to play. A word on Roberts. He put a shift in and was a threat. Folk will talk about no end product I suspect, but he put one on a plate for Jobe who fluffed it and created other chances. It takes two to make the assist.

Anyway, love the lads. They are 100% in for this. The way we saw the game out shows that. And Harrison Jones, take a bow son. Another good un from our youth.

    Oh what a night :emoticon-0159-music...

All was well mate. Tickets didn’t scan but I charmed the steward into letting me in anyway as my young lad had already gone in

I'm more shocked a foul throw was given than the handball issue ..

One thing for certain. We’ve had as, if not more, controversial goals against us this season, but sky sports haven’t had posts all over about them! It’s a “run of the mill in the championship “ thing against us!

I am rough today mind what a day/night. Wasn’t pretty but got the points and that’s what matters. We looked much better with Mayenda and Wilson on the pitch together but we broke so many times and looked tired, rather than running at them we seemed to slow it down. Maybe game management I’ve no idea but felt like we could’ve got another with how many times we turned over possession on the half way line when they were pushing for an equaliser. Going into the weekend with 3 points already in the bag is a good feeling.

Re the handball - it’s definitely handball and would’ve been disallowed in the PL imo. His arm isn’t in an unnatural position as such but it’s out slightly and he controls the ball with it. Can’t whinge about not getting a penalty last week for a handball then turn a blind eye when we benefit. But I’d much rather this than VAR. Some you get, some you don’t.
