Finished Dexter Original Sin tonight, cracking show. I don't think there's ever been a better prequel show or film in terms of doing the original justice and also standing on its own.
I think the book S3 is based on is supposed to be one of the best. Good show, great effort at adapting the books faithfully.
It's being rerun in Scotland at the moment and I'm really enjoying it. I just thought it was a daft Scottish comedy when I saw it in the 1980's ... ... I can now see it deals with lots of serious issues that still affect us now. Very powerful stuff at times and very clever.
Watch the new OJ Simpson 3 part documentary on Netflix recently. That was done well and I enjoyed it. Didn't know alot about the case and trial etc.
Just finished it, I for one thought it was really well done, loved the story and the intertwining back stories to bring it all together.
Just watched a thousand blows! Watched it in two sittings. Very good I thought and Stephen Graham back to playing a crazy bastard!
Neither do I tbh but the general consensus is that he really did get away with murder. Does the doco give a different perspective?
Slightly off tack but just read The Railwayman written by Eric Lomax, WW2 prisoner of the Japs on the Burma Railway...unbelievable the treatment those lads endured. Watched the film a while back with Colin Firth, both worth the effort of reading/ watching. What a generation these lads were born into.
'Game For A Laugh' and 'Going For Gold' in the 1980s and 90s were both good shows, presented by Henry Kelly, who died yesterday
