Ahead of you by a week or so, first one due on the 30th, which we know will be a girl so rules out my original Emre Nolberto name suggestion. We didn't go for the 4D scan, they look proper scary. Built the cot this weekend so its all very real now!

Congrats to the OP, I'm in a similar place workwise, but at the end of the day (football cliche) you can't put your life on hold for job uncertainty. Just means if you do have to find a job quickly you've got greater motivation to do so, and won't make any daft gambles on your applications like claiming you bleed black and white.

Would you believe that Emily is actually her agreed name? I'd never even considered the similarity, I'll have to wait until after the birth certificates signed before I tell her its the female equivalent of Emre...

Worked with the cat, Lola rhymes with Shola!

As for all the Newcastle based names...I worked as an Exam invigilator and had to run registers of the kids doing exams....Year 9 SATs and Year 10 GCSE turned out at least 4 girls called Keegan!

Anyway - congrats mate! Great news!

My recommendation would be to name him/her after an established Geordie legend as opposed to someone who's not quite got that status yet otherwise there's the danger you'll end up resenting your own child. Putting Jean-Alain up for adoption was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do....

Before we knew what we were having I was heavily pushing Aaron in tribute to Hughsie. You can have that one, I won't be needing it for a while...
