I’ll be honest Kamara did more in his few minutes on the pitch than the rest of the team combined.

Staggering. And out of that ridiculous list of forwards I've counted maximum five or six who you could genuinely rely on to stick it in the onion bag.

Because sometimes players are fit enough to play half an hour if needed but not a full 90 without risking further injury.

    It's fairly commonplace.

    Bit late...

'My eyes are hurting' - post-match reaction
    Cardiff manager Omer Riza:

"I'm relieved. We needed it, we knew that, the players and staff knew that, we've come close and not managed to do it against teams around us - or not been good enough at times.

"It was a really tough game, we gave up a bit of possession, we wanted to be structured and disciplined. My eyes are hurting - it wasn't pretty - but three points is three points. I don't think we played well today.

"We did what we needed to do, that's important, we showed that resilience and that togetherness. They didn't cause too many problems, but I'm just happy to grind out a result and an important three points."

    Hull head coach Ruben Selles:

"We are a team that's performing in two different ways. At times we look like we can compete with anyone and then at others we look like we are suffering.

"We have to break that chain or we are going to suffer to the end of the season. We are disappointed because we have got a lot more to offer.

"We are good in the games in which we can go on the attack and make the second movement, but when we are waiting on a game that was as slow as we played today we cannot compete."

That probably gave them the legs on us to be fair.

But surely it meant they had no idea how to play together, as that is what everyone is claiming is happening with us.

Guess it depends how long they've trained and played together. Understandings between players take time to develop, but they don't just stop because someone's been dropped or injured for a game or two.

Don't see how cohesion could be blamed for last night though, as those players have by and large performed far better together before.

Why don't we change tactics for 10 minutes or so put Crooks as a centre forward and Pedro playing off him and play long ball (I know the purists won't like this) but get crosses raining into the box and see if we can get anything out of it and possibly ruffle Cardiff up a bit, it can't do any harm surely.

If as many players are as flat and pedestrian as last night in the final third then frankly or doesn't matter what tactics we play.

We just didn't show any bravery or positive intent until it was way too late last night.

Looked allmost as if we thought after Sunderland we could just turn up and win without anyone taking any responsibility - or that they'd gone out on a bender over the weekend and were still worse for wear.

Either way, if I were Selles I'd be furious and the players would be in at the weekend ahead of Plymouth.

Trouble is it is not only last night this kind of performance has been happening regularly throughout the season that is why we are in the position we are.

They've certainly been cropping up, but the majority of games we've at least been competitive. Even Stoke we were probably the better side aside from the goals we shipped.

Last night was by far the worst we've seen under the new coach. And coming straight off the back of one of the best

The obvious problem is that we’re the gift that keeps on giving, if we get more than 4 points from those four teams at the circle I’ll be amazed…but I live in hope (and in Hedon).

Erm, no. Depends how long the majority of the squad has been together. Can't imagine they've been through 40 attacking players in 3 seasons.

We've had players in that list who've been good elsewhere and not with us... Again, probably cohesion and wavelengths. It's not JUST this reason why we're so bad, but in my opinion it's one of the main ones.
